What I’ve seen lately are ads for a black man and white woman. I assume this is the hot trend, but I don’t see real life reflecting this trend in my local area. More of a national thing or trend?
So is this the hot new thing now? I also never agreed that white guilt should be the foundation for a relationship. This is not a racial thing, if you like or love a person, fine, but don’t make political or past history the foundation or reason why.

Dude advertisers don’t give a shit about your little world i.e. white guilt. Advertisers care about one thing which is selling. They’ve been at it forever and know a bit about demographics.

You are absolutely correct. The general public sure has some funny (and wrong) ideas about how marketing works. It is more science than art, and these decisions are carefully calculated for the most part. Occasionally some firms will make bold choices to score woke points, but that's pretty gambly and poor strat imo.
I have noticed this trend in commercials also, even gays being accepted on Christmas.

The way I see it- White women have super white guilt, based all the way back from slavery. So now they are running these ad companies and inserting their emotional feelings into the advertisements.
