Indeed. After I lifted the quote I got my wife who had never seen the movie and we
Watched it. Still kept me wanting more. And we haven’t spoke of Brad pitts character. He adds texture for what is to come. Carmin Diaz played a role she was unaccustomed to and nailed it. The conversation she has with Penelope Cruz’s character while laying half Nude in towels right after she got engaged is perfect. There is a lot packed into such a short movie. And all the consequences that flow from a coincidence mixed with betrayal that spits out so much truth.

I just don’t understand the poor reviews.

    ill watch it again.

if it was a tarantino project it would have taken home awards.

but people expect a lot from cormac and rightly so.

its a collection of insanely great moments but somehow it never quite settles into a groove so all these elements never quite worked in conjunction with each other.

but yeah i mean, that said, great fucking moments.

the tree with the dead babies strung up in it.

    honestly im guessing not many.

also spoiler is totally inconsequential, its just one of those lightening bolt of pure horror moments. one of many actually.

Started on Suttree this weekend, no one writes like McCarthy. Nothing like it when the weather turns to shit here.

Reading Blood Meridian about five years ago while on a long trek in the Himalayas was easily the best reading experience of my life.
