Hawaii might finally have legalized gambling

There are two states in the US with no form of gambling. One is exactly what you'd expect -- Utah.

The other is surprisingly Hawaii, which has long felt it offered enough for tourists without having to resort to blighting their island with casinos and the degeneracy which came with it.

However, that is changing, perhaps due to the economic hit taken via COVID.

Can you please explain how this would happen? I’m curious, thanks.

I think the point is that Hawaii has the second most number of visitors to Las Vegas of all the states, second only to California. Certain casinos cater to Hawaiian residents, to the extent that often in the lobbies or restaurants it will seem like the majority of the visitors and staff are Hawaiian.
