Subway has such massive variance, occasionally everything is right and fresh and made well, just as often it's all stale and looks thrown together by a child.
I know this going in and weirdly am fine with it? Just always have to get it made in person or else the proportions are all off. Tomatoes are always a pass.

More things change the more they stay the same.
All franchise subs are shit until someone proves otherwise.
Locally i found a pizza joint run by a transplanted new Yorker. He makes the best subs going by a mile. Cant even compare what he makes to what would come out of a firehouse or a subway.
LOL @ Jersey Mikes
whoever the 4 idiots are that voted for that weak ass lame excuse for a sub shop are…
you people are fucking peasants
??? I'm from Jersey and grew up eating delicious Subs
In New Jersey your best subs come from the local Pizza places, so Italians. Jersey Mikes started in Pt Pleasant NJ which is close to where I lived and I've been to the Original Jersey Mikes in Pt Pleasant New Jersey. They make Subs exactly like you get in New Jersey and they're delicious I eat there in Florida to get a sub like i grew up eating.
Ham, Salami, Capicola, Provolone Lettuce/Tomato/Onion, Salt Pepper Oregano Oil/Vinegar fresh baked bread is a good Sub and the Jersey Sub
GMO pink tasteless tomatoes
Sysco Foods generic mayonnaise
Pre chopped and plastic bagged usually wilted iceberg lettuce
Sysco cheap ass turkey roll

Sysco is literally the death of any restaurant that brings them in.
For years they begged to get into my restaurant sending every new rep they hired in to try and get a food in the door. 2 weeks free products, no thanks. $50 a case wings when they were $99 everywhere else, again, no thanks. I told them I’d burn my restaurant down before I’d buy from them. Quite an awakening to the industry for the kid out of school pitched he would make 6 figures quickly. But most don’t last more than a few months anyways, they realize they would rather do something more respectable in life. Like cleaning stalls at an adult bookstore.
Understand Sysco doesn’t sell branded products like Tyson, Perdue or anyone else. They sell Sysco branded products that change month to month based on the cheapest deal they can get. You get a Sysco case of 8oz burgers period.
So when you find the food quality at your favorite restaurant changes, blame Sysco….and the owner who fell for their pitch to save a couple bucks.
Subway is terrible. Didn't they have some big scandal about the ingredients in their bread at one time? Daly's words could not be truer. You don't go to a chain for subs or Italian food for that matter. Almost any pizza place that's been around a while is a far better option than any chain for a sub. In fact, the best sub/pizza locations are in Boston, New York, New Haven and Providence so it makes sense that you west coast fellas don't really have anything good to compare to.
