The reemergence of COVID (delta style) and mask requirements does Newsom no favors. Also, every time one of those videos goes viral of people freely walking out of stores with bags of stolen goods (now in LA too, not just a SF thing), I think his chances of being recalled goes up a few percentages as well.
Just my opinion, but I don't think its a good bet or has any value at 2:1. In California, for something like this involving a Dem, I see no difference between 2:1 and even money.
You cannot underestimate folks like my uber-liberal cousin in the Valley who will probably find groups of people and "help" them vote to get it defeated. I'm pretty sure that's how Adam Schiff keeps his job.
A few months ago I put this at between 8:1 and 10:1 odds to be worth the risk. Now it's probably down to about 3.5 to 1.
