A popular way of cheating was used that was popularized in the 2016 Def Con, in which the cheater employs two phones that read the deck (placed in front of the stacked two phones and uncut before dealing) and an ear piece that tells the cheater which hand wins. This is a PSA for the poker community. Anyone interested can reach out for the picture that exposes the cheating.
Here's a description of a similar device in a 2016 article: https://thenewstack.io/heres-customi...p-cheat-poker/

We have discussed this device before on this site.

Clayton has this picture of the device allegedly being used in that game:

The device works like this:

You have the a special deck which can be read by the cheat device, which is made to look like a smartphone (but isn't). It then transmits the information to a real smart phone, which has an app that transmits to you in an earpiece.

Seat 1 is alleged to be using this device. Notice the hoodie (to possible hide an earpiece) and the two phones on top of each other, near the deck. Clayton says the deck wasn't allowed to be cut.

He did an interview on PFA Radio a the 0:10:07 mark, where he explains the whole thing:

In the interview, Clayton explains that he wasn't personally in the game, but two friends of his were. In addition, he claims the guy setting up the game, Taylor Von Kriegenbergh (in seat 9 -- you can only see his arms) convinced him to stake a female player in the game, and this girl lost 90k. That's how Clayton lost the money. A fish in this game -- who was also friends with Clayton -- was the one who caught the alleged cheating.

It's a very interesting story. Give it a listen.

The game took place in Boston in late 2019.
