A little bit of a weird situation going on here.

However, this appears like it might be an elaborate troll job by Postle's buddies.

Khou Fang is the one listed in the article as "Poker Derelict". She is an Asian woman around 50, who is obsessed with Postle, and is possibly in love with him. She knows him from the Sac area poker scene. You cannot trust any information she puts out.

Rounder Life is Evert Caldwell. He is a former business partner of Postle's, and again is very loyal to him. You cannot trust anything he says, either.

I am very suspicious that Postle's two closest buddies are shouting out loud that he got his winnings garnished, yet nobody else is verifying it. These two have never before trumpeted any "L" Postle has taken.

The money also hasn't been received yet by Veronica. The garnishment is real, but it won't matter if the money is already in Postle's hands.

I think you’re on to it Druff. If you look at Rounder Life’s pinned tweet it appears they have a relationship with this tournament series. Postle playing in it is no accident that’s for sure. I have a feeling this was basically an arranged safe zone for Postle to make his reappearance.

The writ of garnishment was stamped and dated today (as per the article on www.poker.org) It is highly unlikely that the winnings were garnished prior to the writ being issued. It is a remote possibility that the Casino held the funds based on a dispute as to who should get the money, but truly that is a long shot.

If I was the one trying to collect, I would have notified the Casino prior to having the garnishment in hand. If your able to get a sympathetic manager who has enough hatred for Postle they may be willing to hold payment (illegally). They could have even used the excuse, “I was told by our legal department to hold your payment for 48 hours)”. This would possibly give enough time to get the garnishment through.

The problem is most employees wouldn’t be willing to do this, at least any with status that would allow for this. I think by calling, you have at least a 10% chance of this working. I’m sure Druff and Veronica and or their Attorneys made an attempt at this.

There are also “accidental” issues that could have been done to the check to buy some time such as leaving the date off the check, making it out to “Mike Lawarence”, leave off the authorized signature, use the current date in January but put 2022 instead of 2023. Some bank tellers are ignorant and would push it through anyway. With a check over 30k, it will most likely be looked at closer.

Remember, he will have to go to the bank the check is written on. Zero percent chance that check will be deposited. So he has to “Cash” the entire amount. A check that amount will be looked at a little closer. If the check is written on Wells Fargo, Bank of America is not going to cash it for that amount - even if he has an account there. At most they “advance” a small percentage of the check to him and the rest will clear to the account at a later date. The amount of the advance depends on his history and status at the bank.

Put a GPS on Postle’s vehicle in the parking lot (If he even has a vehicle lol), then you can have a head start anytime he arrives at a poker room for a tournament.

In one of the photos I saw, his phone was just sitting there on the rail. Even if it’s not the same phone he used for the cheating If a thief snatched it off the rail - I would put a value of 3k-$5k for it on the “Black Market”.

However, it's not the type of TRO you'd picture. She's not asking them to keep Postle from stalking her. She's asking them to restrain him from spending the money he won in the tournament.

Even if granted, it's not clear if this will have any "teeth" for various reasons, but it will certainly throw another monkey wrench into Postle's life. Will be very interesting to see the result on this one, which I will report out here when I know.

What happens if Postle says he was staked and the deal was 90/10...where he keeps 10%? And this TRO nonsense is not gonna do anything. Postle should just stick to cash games and should never go to the cashier. Leave the casino with chips and have friends cash them out later.

There's no evidence that the money is located anywhere here in California, or where the money is located (like freezing a specific bank account), or that Postle is even in the State of California to defend himself. After all, he was just in Mississippi playing poker.

Nice effort, certainly worth the additional stress and anxiety to Postle assuming he got proper notice of the hearing, but I don't think the Judge will grant it.

Hopefully I will be wrong and Druff can also get some recovery out of this.
