What I remember is they used to advertise a "bucket of parts" and it sounded like they were saying "bucket of farts."
It's real. The same Potato Head is available, but they are removing the "Mr" and "Mrs" parts, so boys can look like girls and girls can look like boys, and not be branded "Mr" or "Mrs".

    Very important lessons for 3-year-olds.

If you think blacks can't be racist then try walking your white ass thru the Westside of Chicago.

It's official. The Cat in the Hat is racist. Dr. Seuss is next on the cancel culture chopping block.

Coca Cola's "Be Less White" campaign is suffering backlash. Boycotts are developing. And there's a new hit song about it:

The Twitter lefties are trying to cancel Hyatt for hosting CPAC. The hotel chain's response:

In a statement emailed to the left-wing bellyachers, the hotel chain touted its interest in pursuing real inclusion, diversity and tolerance — three things left-wingers frequently virtue-signal about yet rarely actually practice.

“We take pride in operating a highly inclusive environment and we believe that the facilitation of gatherings is a central element of what we do as a hospitality company. We believe in the right of individuals and organizations to peacefully express their views, independent of the degree to which the perspectives of those hosting meetings and events at our hotels align with ours,” Hyatt reportedly said.

“Our own values support a culture that is characterized by empathy, respect and diversity of opinions and backgrounds, and we strive to bring this to light through what we do and how we engage with those in our care.

I legit have no idea if my sarcasm went over your head, or if you're trying to be oddly sarcastic.

Yes, I knew you were being sarcastic. I was just adding to the sarcasm. But it went clean over ms. nightmarefish's waterbrained head.

Can any libs here defend the banning of six Dr. Seuss books?

    https://apnews.com/article/dr-seuss-...f443594c174513

In “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street,” an Asian person is portrayed wearing a conical hat, holding chopsticks, and eating from a bowl. “If I Ran the Zoo” includes a drawing of two bare-footed African men wearing what appear to be grass skirts with their hair tied above their heads.

In before the site lefties claim that you're actually the one making a big deal about this by pointing out how ridiculous it is. Of ya, and you're triggered and pearl clutching.

This tweet was posted today, and then removed when they were told that Dr. Seuss is no longer okay in woke circles.

What's there to defend. No books were banned. End of story.

Dr. Seuss Enterprises, the company that owns the rights, can do what ever they want with their IP.

Nobody said they CAN'T do it.

The question is WHY they did it. It's not a coincidence that this happened in early 2021, at the all-time peak of cancel culture. This is being done to appease the woke mob, because they see the storm brewing of SJWs about to cancel them. They think that if they bow to the woke gods, and give a book sacrifice, they will be spared.

    They actually might be right.

They self-banned, but it's sad. I loved Dr. Seuss including some of those books. How about a mature and rational explanation to kids that "that's how people thought when this book was written, now it wouldn't be nice to draw someone like that." Would that be so hard? My niece once asked me about people smoking in an old movie and I said, "Back then they didn't know how bad it was for you, and a lot more people smoked. That tells us something about the time when this movie was made, but it's not a good example to follow now." A kid who's old enough to go to school can understand that.

It seems easier to ban than put in the effort to generate learning experiences from these old works of art, that must be playing into it too. Same for Confederate statues and etc. I can't defend any of this.

Banning pretty much say they can't. It's sorta baked into the word.

They got free press from taking 6 titles out of print that weren't exactly well known or big sellers. They fabricated scarcity to otherwise worthless print runs. They created doubt of possible future scarcity for their other titles.

Depending how the wind blows they can either release the 6 titles as an "original" compilation or re-imagined woke edition and get another round of free press in a few years.

The Why is money. That's their job. Knowing their audience plays to that. They appease people in their 30s more than they appease people in their 60s. Because of their status as recommended reading they give crumbs to school boards, libraries and such.

The books are known for their variant of nursery rhymes not racist caricatures.
