This is exactly what I admire the most about Trump. He gives zero shits about the woke mob, and does what he feels is right. He does zero pandering to that crap.

If Biden were President, there's no chance he would end this. In fact, if Biden wins, he's probably bringing it back. Not because Biden really believes it, but because he wants to make his New Woke Overlords of the Democratic Party (and the loud social media mob) happy with him.

While I don't agree with a lot of what Trumps says and does, I am glad he's an independent thinker.

I don't recall denying that Trump was needed to combat the extreme left. My criticism of him came from other areas, including his behavior. I still stand by all of that.

With that said, yes, I agree that Trump actually was the right President for 2016-2020, and still is for 2020-2024, because he completely rejects the current ridiculousness and extremism of the left. That's actually one of the reasons I've softened on my negative feelings about him. It's also the reason I'll actually vote for him this time (last time I voted or neither major candidate).

I'll give an example to show how stupid Critical Race Theory is, even though my example isn't about race.

In the early 2000s, I lived in Redondo Beach, CA. I read in the local paper that two gay guys had been arrested for defrauding the city. The story was pretty amazing.

I actually knew who these guys were from the BBS community of the '80s and '90s. They ran a large BBS called "Star Chat", which was exclusively for gay men. I never had any interaction with these guys, but I was aware of them, because the BBS was one of the largest in the area. BBSes were popular with gay men at the time, because it was a safe way to meet other gay men, without facing discrimination or shame (which was still a big problem in the '80s).

Anyway, these guys both had a tech background, and one of them had a tech-related job with the city of Redondo Beach. He told city officials that the city's computer systems were too large and difficult to maintain on his own, and they needed to hire an outside firm. He pretended to look up companies to do so, and he introduced them to a man who was supposedly a stranger to him, who seemed very knowledgeable. The quote for maintaining the systems? $750,000 per year!

The olds at the city council were too stupid to realize that was an outrageous sum of money to pay to maintain a smallish city's computer systems, and they agreed to pay it.

This man did indeed do the job he promised, but in reality he was only doing about $10k worth of work, and charging $750,000 for it.

Now, that by itself isn't illegal. If the city stupidly overpaid for computer maintenance, it's on them. However, it turned out this dude wasn't just a stranger referred by a city employee. He was actually the live-in, long-term gay lover of this city employee, which of course wasn't disclosed. In fact, the two acted like they didn't know each other. It was illegal to hire someone associated with one of the city employees to do this work, especially without disclosure. Both men were arrested.

Why am I telling this story?

Their defense was that they were being targeted for being gay.

Clearly that wasn't the case. They were "targeted" for being piece of shit scammers, and they successfully bilked the city out of $750,000 with coordinated lies about the necessity to hire an expensive firm to do what was actually simple work.

Was systemic discrimination responsible for any of this? No.

Was this just a case of criminals behaving badly? Yes.

That's the obvious and logical view. Unfortunately, the left thinks that any bad outcome or bad behavior by those in a supposedly marginalized group is the fault of systemic discrimination, and thus they feel that this lifts most responsibility from both the community and the individuals within to behave well.

That's what CRT is all about. It's an attempt to trick black people into believing their problems are all racism-related, and to trick white people into feeling guilty about this imaginary systemic racism, to where they will support any extreme changes to American society in order to "fix" it.

The entire thing is a fraud, and the noble goal of eliminating racism is being perverted in order to push across unrelated political reform, and to drive out Republican candidates from office.

Unfortunately, with the 2020 left increasingly feeling too much and thinking too little, this trickery is working. While the left sees themselves as the intellectual and logical party -- one not needlessly bogged down by simplistic concepts of patriotism or religion -- they have created their own blind spot when it comes to sensitivity to marginalized groups. If something is justified as necessary to "fight oppression", they knee-jerk support it. And that's very dangerous.

Right, and while it may rile the New Woke Overlords to call KIA troops suckers and losers, he simply reiterated his thoughts on the matter.

Independent thinking, no doubt. And LOL at the Blacks.

Here's a fairly accurate description of Critical Race Theory, from Wikipedia:

Critical race theory (CRT) is a theoretical framework in the social sciences that examines society and culture as they relate to categorizations of race, law, and power. Developed out of postmodern philosophy, it is based on critical theory, a social philosophy that argues that social problems are influenced and created more by societal structures and cultural assumptions than by individual and psychological factors. It began as a theoretical movement within American law schools in the mid- to late 1980s as a reworking of critical legal studies on race issues, and is loosely unified by two common themes. Firstly, CRT proposes that white supremacy and racial power are maintained over time, and in particular, that the law may play a role in this process. Secondly, CRT work has investigated the possibility of transforming the relationship between law and racial power, as well as pursuing a project of achieving racial emancipation and anti-subordination more broadly.
Simply put, it's a theory which basically states that any poor outcome experienced by the black community -- or even individuals within the black community -- is mostly the fault of systemic racism, and the problem must be solved from that direction.
Look at the ridiculous argument put forth by Todd. He quotes the Wikipedia definition of CRT which includes the words proposal and possibility. This means that the basic theory must be studied. He then jumps to is own opinion which in no way resembles the preceding definition and concludes the theory in bunk.

This coming from a computer science major. Not a philosophy or sociology
    major but a 1's and 0's man.

    Zero credibility

Just to pick apart the above masterpiece a bit more. Early in,
second sentence, Todd labels the CRT theory as belonging to
"the woke mob" Does this sound like someone interested
in proving or disproving a theory? He is associating people
who study this theory as a mob.

You can't talk like this and expect no one to notice

It's very basic, very obvious and very unsavoury

If you really want to understand just how insane and poisonous critical race theory is, check out this documentary on Evergreen State College. It’s one of the best docs I’ve ever seen.

This incident was the canary in the coal mine for this crackpot pseudoscience. It was a fairly big story at the time in the press but was dismissed by most as something that was limited to the most extreme liberal colleges.

It features ultra liberal professor Bret Weinstein who has been warning about this stuff for the past few years. A must watch documentary. It’s broken up in to three separate videos as parts I, II and III on this guys page:
