What exactly is an “executive” in the casino industry? In this case, glorified hosts.
Which reminds me, I never finished “Whale Hunt in the Desert”. I’m pretty ok with that too.
I saw the July numbers for Vegas yesterday. Good lord. Impossible to get worse.
yeah exec was a pretty strong word...you hit the nail on the head, these are hosts not the actual marketing people...
TBH i havent looked at AC numbers since Q1...dont even know when the casinos reopened...obviously the numbers will be piss your pants laughable, but i preferred to laugh at the slow train wreck that was AC instead of the 100 MPH into a brick wall that it has now become...although i really would want to be a fly on the wall in meetings with the fucktards i used to work with...from a little linkedin snooping most arent even in AC any more...theyve managed to move on to other failings within the empire...some out in vegas...LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL...
figured you'd appreciate that little blurb san...you seem to like the occasional chuckle at casino industry stupidity...
One of the articles I read is that this "executive" took a phone with lots of whales contact info to Oceans. Borgata is suing to get the phone - and presumably all the contact info back.
While poaching clients is standard to some extent in all industries, stealing the rolodex/phone/database from the old employer is quite brazen.
As for AC, it is not doing as badly as it seems. Compared to last year, profits are down a measly 7.5%. Given that all the casinos were closed for so long, anyone want to guess why it's only 7.5%? If you guessed that it's because of online casinos and online sport betting, you are correct. Online stuff is growing like weeds and bringing in the big bucks.
