56-year-old Robert Gray was heads up for a bracelet in Stud8 in 2019. Finally his luck ran out, and he lost to tough opponent Michael Mizrachi.

Gray got unlucky again this summer and lost to another tough opponent -- the coronavirus.

What's unusual about this one was the fact that Gray went from presymptomatic to deceased within a week. According to a friend, he didn't feel sick until a week ago. However, he wasn't anywhere near critical. His symptoms were moderate until yesterday, when he said he had "a few breathing problems". Today he died. He was not known to have any preexisting conditions.

From what I know of him, he was well liked and respected in the poker community, though I didn't know him personally.

RIP
