I'm starting a league in a format I made up called No Luck Fantasy. The goal is to have absolutely no randomness or luck involved. There are 3 main components of that-

It's an auction instead of a traditional draft. I've done this for a few years and I think it's fantastic. Nobody has the advantage of the first pick. Everyone gets a budget to spend, and each player is auctioned off.

Way back in the day, you won fantasy football by scoring the most points over the season. For whatever reason, that changed to the modern head-to-head matchup system that everyone uses. But how frustrating is it to be the second highest scoring guy of the week and lose to the high scorer? In this league, the high scorer of the week will get a $20 or $25 prize. The high scorer for the season will get two thirds of the remaining prize pool, and the second place will take a third. No playoffs.

Instead of a waiver order, we're using a free agent budget. Each week, you place blind bids of any free agents you want. High bidder gets the guy. And if you run out of budget for the season, you can only get guys that nobody else bids on. There's a cool strategy to it.

We'll have a vote on a few things, including a flex player spot and some scoring items.
