That involves sex with women, something Tgull knows little about.

I've been climbing for about five years, nothing really that hard, but still can't even wrap my brain around this accomplishment - or really any ropeless climb; regardless of how good you are, a little hold can pop off, a slightl wrong angle can send you off, etc.

    Absolutely stunning.

    #4 Kirk Gibson Homerun

Look, I have to give the owner of the site something in this thread. Actually this really was one of the more iconic moments in the last 40 years. It was amazing, Gibson had a torn ACL when he hit this homerun. It truly was a riveting scene. It's amazing MLB allows this video to be shared, it's the whole sequence of the at bat which normally they copyright that. But yeah, its a great scene.

It was a formality really, Nebraska had the longest winning streak in the nation and averaged 52 points a game in the regular season. The University of Miami five years earlier considered disbanding football since it was so unprofitable. Nebraska went into the game as 17 point favorites.

When I was like 10, my best friend moved a suburb over. It was ten minutes drive away, but that’s like a thousand miles when you’re 10.

So he moves into his new house and I’m there every other weekend. The Kosars lived like five houses down the street. Bernie had a younger brother Brian our age, and a sister Beth, and we’d play football or baseball every day or hang out, and Bernie would play steady qb at times if it was like 3 on 3 backyard football.

He was in high school at the time. Didn’t even play football until his senior year. Just baseball. He kind of had a crush on my friends sister who was in school with him, but she said he’s nice, but too nerdy. Think he went to prom with his cousin iirc. So he goes out for football his senior year and they just become this juggernaut passing team in an era where no one passed in NE Ohio. Like legit the top passer in the conference the year before probably threw for 500 yards for the season and he comes in and throws for like 3000 yards.

They were our rivals always. His last game against us was a similar type game to the NC. One point game decided on a missed extra point.

He took off for Miami, and that was before Miami was anything. So clearly I followed the ascension of the program throughout his time. The Flutie game could be on your list. The most amazing game I had ever watched up until that point, and still. Bernie has thrown for like 450 yards and lost on that Hail Mary.

It was surreal just seeing this older kid from the neighborhood go from kind of nerdy high school kid to redshirting a year and then pulling off that game as a freshmen QB. Played another year and then the Browns and then he ran into some rough years afterward.

Great game. Great memories. There was a small pipeline after Bernie of local kids from up here going to Miami. None that approached his success. They grabbed a kid the next year from town who was named JC Penney. Real name. Great athlete, but undersized RB. Played behind Alonzo Highsmith.
I was at the Flutie game in Miami, I was like 8. I remember the pass obviously, but what I really remember is it was one of the coldest days in years in Miami. It was in the 40s, and we were on vacation at the time from the north. It literally was 40 degrees most of the game, drizzled the whole time and windy. Being 8 or so at the time I was complaining to leave but my Dad said we were going to stay, great decision. We literally were on the 10 yard line in the endzone where Phalan caught the pass.

I was also at the Miami - Nebraska game as well, a year younger. We used to go down to Miami all the time back then.

Obviously, don't go back there anymore unless I am going on a cruise but that is done for a couple years.

What a great contribution. I ran out of rep.

I need to see that Free Solo movie too.

How strong is this guy? What a freak.

There is a place that exclusively offers serious rock wall climbing nearby. Not a Chuck E Cheese type place with kid birthday parties. Someday I need to look into it. I’m sure I’d get hooked.

So let's review, so far you've been at:

    -- The Nebraska/Miami Orange Bowl

#3, Alabama - Auburn Iron Bowl

You know, if anyone does not have this epic finish in their all time top five you simply do not like football. Truly one of the most remarkable finishes in football history. Enjoy friends.

remember the time cmoney told us to bet that mma fighter that lost in the first fives seconds of the match. only to be followed it up saying virginia was going to win the NCAA tourney and then lost to the 16 seed

an anonymous poster on a 3rd rate poker forum correctly predicted that colin kap sucked. this was when he was still revered by scouts and gm's alike, not to mention resident stupid fuck posters at said site.

Again, I've only climbed wimpy shit by comparison, but it's less physical strength than sheer mental will. Even when I've been fully roped on easy shit, the psychological stress of life and death being a fucking rope not snapping when I'm hundreds of feet up if I come off the wall (not to mention face planting into rock) keeps me up at night.

If you've seen the doc, he's just wired differently. There's even a YouTube clip where he's soloing and blows a foot, coking within a fingertip slip of plummeting 2,000 ft and exploding. He gives zero fucks.
