    Looks very likely related to the app he created, and the financial problems it probably has, because it was effectively banned in Nigeria in February.

    Maybe the dude had been embezzling money from the company, but nobody noticed before when it was thriving and the money was flowing? It wasn't a break-in, because he went up the elevator with this guy and willingly entered the apartment with him.
