WSOP Online Series (Fails and Positives)

I think with the online series starting today it deserves it's own thread.

Fail #1 that I've ran into:

I've played on the site often living in Las Vegas, I tried to login today and get a message that "Remote access has been detected, please turn off any remote access in order to properly verify your location"

I've removed Teamviewer and Google remote access. Both of these have been on my computer for a long time and have never given me issues.

I use windows remote desktop for my work but that was not running at the time.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a ATT mobile hot spot with 5 GB free and then $10 for every 5 after that. I have no idea how much a poker tournament would take.
I also don't really understand how an ISP works. I tested it at home to see if when I have it on it reports a different ISP than my home WIFI. It does.

I live in NOCAL so I'm debating whether to go to Reno or Tahoe just to experience this historic event. This might be the only time it ever happens. (I hope!) I'd rather just go to LV but I don't want to fly and the drive seems too long. My wife wants to play some too. She has an account but has never had money in it. As far as I can tell, you can only do Cash at the Cage in Las Vegas, not Reno or Tahoe. It also looks like I can't transfer money from my account to hers. I've had no problem using Paypal for making small test deposits ($100). I'm just about convinced I have almost no shot to win due to collusion, bots, etc. but I've spent $800 on dinner and a play on Broadway so why not?

(with a little more than 5 hours to go before kickoff there are 87 registered for event #1)

Regarding deposits....In New Jersey I have used Pay Near Me to deposit. You can deposit $10 - $500 per day at most CVS or 7-11. It is really easy and quick. WSOP gives you a bar code when you request and the cashier scans it, you pay and less then 20 minutes later the money is in your account.

In addition, your hotspot should work fine with 5GB. Just keep it to the tournament and nothing else.

Matusow’s rant included threats of physical and sexual assault and the eventual doxxing of the player in question.

“This motherfucker, ‘wolverine17‘, I’m gonna fuck him right in his fucking ass man, right in his fucking ass. Mark that name down, ‘wolverine17’,” Matusow told those watching his Twitch stream, not realizing the player was a female.

I know WSOP online series has many fails. Disabling chat was not one of them. Regarding this situation, this player could have been multi-tabling and just hit the time bank so not to fold. In addition, the Mouth should understand this, prior to the meltdown if you watched the MOUTH's previous streams he was consistently timing out with good hands because he was typing and or working on his computer and not paying attention. Unfortunately, it appears he is not in good mental health.

Danielle Barille is getting more active on her social media (finally), and responding to people somewhat.

    She answered me this morning.

actually wouldnt surprise me if her lack of engagement on twitter when she first got the gig was a directive from the higher ups at the evil empire...

that makes a ton of sense considering what a dogshit operation they run in pretty much every other aspect...

100% it was IMO. They obv didnt do a deeper dive in preparing for this online only WSOP thing due to time and them just not giving a fuck and only finding a way to collect as much rake as possible.

(no offense to Danielle to my inquiry below.. I've played with her before, she's a nice girl. This is towards Caesar's in general)

How the fuck does a poker software, vetted by the state, not have the software capability to run a god damn limit HE tournament? Shit, we could just do the shit on PFA, its fucking easy

"We need to schedule", in regard to Limit Holdem tourmaments, pretty much means that they overlooked it, and now realize it was stupid to leave off the schedule.

yeah she's in a shit spot because her employer is dogshit...

another bet i would make...the evil empire went with the cheapest option available and that was 888...i mean it's aight, but i still think the user interface is kinda clunky...

to be honest i dont know why somebody doesn't buy up the old UB software...who the fuck even owns that at this point? if it's one of the prior scamming cunts from there then fuck 'em and let the software rot but if it's some other entity somebody should buy it up...ACR *cough* *cough* ACR...

The company later confirmed that the bug in question was related to server issues caused by larger-than-expected fields.

Was standing in line at Caesar's today to get a wsop withdrawal. There were 2 Asian's standing off to the side, and one was talking on the phone.

Asian 1) The one talking on the phone spoke perfectly clear English.

Asian 2) Spoke very little English and was extremely hard to understand.

Asian 2 was having trouble getting his WSOP account verified and the cage was unable to help, they directed him to wsop.com phone support.

The phone support was having trouble understanding Asian 2, so Asian 1 took the phone to speak on his friend's behalf....only to be told they couldn't discuss Asian 2's account details with Asian 1, even with Asian 2's permission.

Asian 1 told the Custmer Service rep they were at the Caesar's cage and could even have a Caesar's employee verify it's ok for Asian 1 to represent Asian 2, but the phone rep wasn't having it.

I left before the end of the call, so not sure what the outcome was
