It looks like Phil is unloading his house in Las Vegas, which is in pre-foreclosure.

wait, wait, wait...
am I mistaken or is mr. Hellmuth unable to afford the payments on a $350-400K house? if I am not mistaken then jesus Christ how the mighty have fallen...
Clearly there's not nearly as much money in poker as there used to be.
Can't believe that house with a pool at a country club is worth only $325K per Zillow. If I had time and wanted to risk travelling right now I'd seriously consider taking a look.

I think Phil isn't planning to go to Vegas any time soon because of the corona.
In fact it's possible his doctor wife told him to quit playing live poker.
I don't understand the pre-foreclosure thing. Could be a mistake, or perhaps an oversight on his part. Kinda hard to believe he's busto, given all of his endorsement power, the huge $ he made on UB, and the salary his wife takes in, but who knows....
So that was a shitty 1600 sf house I saw on espn 15 years ago lol.
$430k for that unrenovated dump? Vegas is nuts.
That's a fairly unimpressive house for someone of Hellmuth's stature (even if that's his secondary home).
I'm guessing the only reason he's putting it on social media is that he thinks it will increase the chances it sells during what is otherwise a bad market (for obvious reasons).
Also, the $430k he's asking for is overpriced, but he's probably hoping some idiot fanboy will want Phil Hellmuth's house.
I'm also guessing the house has become a headache for Hellmuth. It's not like he grinds cash in Vegas anymore (even before the pandemic). He's had it for years, dating back when he was in Vegas way more.
Now he's 55 years old, he may not play live poker again for a long time, and he's probably in Vegas for the WSOP and not much else. Maintaining a house is also a hassle if you're not there very often.
Not sure why he bought such a cheap house in the first place, though. You'd think he'd have wanted better. Maybe his wife didn't want them sinking much money into something they'd only use part time (and he'd often just be in himself when he did).
Maybe he had some losses in the stock market and it can offset any capital gains on the house?
Checking out the tax assessment...
Owned by Poker Studs LLC....haha what a douche
Built in 1974
1684 sf
Tax value = $187k
Phil sold it to his LLC in 2006....probably a rental now?
Interestingly, despite his money, fame, and self-centeredness, there are zero stories or rumors of Phil cheating on his wife when he's in Vegas.
Like not even a whisper of it. By all accounts, he's always been faithful to her. You hear rumors (often true ones) about a lot of these other married poker guys, but never Hellmuth.
I guess that's why he had the toilet paper roll sitting next to his bed.
He seems frugal which is smart
Cali house is nice but not ostentatious
Never mind....$30k rug.....wtf?
