If you get your science news from TV, you aren;t getting any science news at all.
My brother, 55 and his wife got covid. They had fevors and it sucked for about a week. They are fine now and back to work about two weeks after they got it. Neither spent any time at a hospital. My brother cut his grass and ran 12 miles roughly 2 weeks after getting the virus.
Sister in law is high school art teacher. A student in one of her classes who had covid was sitting in front row. So most likely that's how they got it. Seemed odd though that both their employors wanted them back at work so soon, and didn't even require a test to show they were clear. But this is Indiana, home of the free.
