WSOP Online Bracelet series accidentally posted, screenshotted, then deleted

The above appeared for a short time on wsop.com, and quickly vanished when people questioned what it was about.

It has not been confirmed, but Kevmath acknowledged that it's not a hoax, and that it was actually on wsop.com for a little time.

These are mostly smallish events, with the biggest being the so-called "High Roller" on July 14. Only one other event (a $1500 NL with no rebuys on July 13) is over $1000. Most evens range between $400-$777.

You have to be physically present in Nevada, New Jersey, or Delaware to play.

A real bracelet will be awarded for winning these, which is really stupid. It's especially dumb because, unlike other online bracelet events where many people are already in town for WSOP, this will mostly be a battle of locals living in those three states. They shouldn't hand out a bracelet for this crap.

It's also very NL Holdem heavy, which also flies in the face of what the WSOP is all about. Of the 31 events, 27 are NL Holdem, 3 are PLO, and one is Omaha 8 or Better.

One big problem at wsop.com right now is the lack of visible leadership. Danielle Barille seems to be running the show, but from what I can see, she's very shy and doesn't want to be the public face of site management. Nobody else has stepped forward to take that role since Bill Rini left. This has left players wondering who's really in charge, and they don't have anyone to consult when it comes to site plans or management.

Players in Delaware can not play WSOP Online Bracelet events.

They also are ineligible to win a WSOP Circuit ring or win a Global Casino Championship seat in the currently running WSOP Circuit Online Finale series. If a Delaware player wins, the next eligible player wins the WSOPC ring and GCC seat.

I'd expect the schedule to once again appear at WSOP.com/promotions sometime this week.

    Hey Druff,

    Spot on. Absolutely great points.

However, this is a great opportunity for a player like me(will play online NJ) to have a remote shot at a WSOP bracelet.
So I am kinda of excited. LOL

The 2020 WSOP Online Bracelet schedule is back online!

    https://www.wsop.com/promotions/onli...elets-2020/nv/

    The only change was a $600 PLO-8 6-Max event replacing the the July 6 $777 PLO 7-Max.

If you can't make it to Nevada or New Jersey, and are able to play on GGPoker, they'll have 54 Online Bracelet events from July 19 - September 6.

That schedule is TBA but the WSOP press release is at https://www.wsop.com/news/2020/Jun/1...OURNAMENT.html

Welcome to the 2020 World Series Of Poker Online

85 WSOP Gold Bracelets Up for Grabs This Summer in “World Series of Poker Online” Tournament

WSOP Expands Partnership with GGPoker, Allowing International Players their First-Ever Chance to Pursue WSOP Bracelets from Home

    https://www.wsop.com/2020/online/

LAS VEGAS (June 8, 2020) – With the flagship World Series of Poker (WSOP) postponed in Las Vegas due to the public health emergency involving COVID-19, today organizers announced “World Series of Poker Online,” an online poker festival spanning two months. Set to be one of the largest online tournament series of all time, “WSOP Online” will offer players massive prize pools, unprecedented media coverage for online events, and the chance to win gold bracelet glory across two distinct gaming platforms, WSOP.com and GGPoker.

Kicking off Wednesday, July 1, the “WSOP Online” tournament’s North American network will schedule one bracelet event a day, throughout the month of July. WSOP.com allows play from customers geo-located in Nevada and New Jersey.

On Sunday, July 19, official “WSOP Online” bracelet tournaments will commence on the GGPoker Network, one of the biggest and fastest-growing online poker providers in the world. The international series will run through September 6 and mark the first time that players outside the U.S. have been able to compete for an official WSOP bracelet online.

GGPoker plans to unveil its bracelet schedule on a rolling basis and will have a broad range of buy-ins and game formats. GGPoker boasts next-generation smart software and a multitude of innovative features, which will be on display during the online series.

WSOP.com will celebrate the tournament with a number of special promotions and incentives. Satellites to WSOP Bracelet events start as low as $1. WSOP will also offer $100,000 of added prize money eligible to the top performers across all eligible online bracelet events in July. In addition to more planned July promotions players will also be offered multiple reload bonuses throughout the month of July. For more details on North American events, and for the complete schedule, visit here.

“It wouldn’t be Summer without WSOP” said Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. “While we are thrilled to be reopening our venues and optimistic about future offline events, we couldn’t be more excited about deepening our relationship with GGPoker and watching some history unfold online this summer.”

As is customary with WSOP events, the “WSOP Online” tournament will provide extensive media coverage. Poker Central, World Series of Poker’s official production partner, plans to create significant original content around the festival utilizing its Las Vegas based studio including live streams, highlight packages, and pilot episodes earmarked for traditional television distribution. Poker Central will also schedule virtual “bracelet ceremonies” and interviews with each winner.

“With over $100M in guarantees during the WSOPC Super Series in May and more than $134M in awarded prizes, it’s clear that GGPoker and the WSOP make a good pair,” said Steve Preiss, Head of Poker Operations for GGPoker. “We’re excited to create bracelet events that the worldwide poker community will embrace, as well as innovative programming with PokerGo.”

GGPoker just wrapped up a highly successful WSOP Online Circuit Event, which saw a total series prize pool of $134,706, 274 easily smashing the advertised $100,000,000 in guarantees. In total, the WSOP series saw a staggering 485,851 entries with highlights including a Main Event of nearly 10,000 entrants with $1.2M for the winner and a scorching $25k “high roller” with 505 entries creating GGPoker’s largest prize pool to date of $12.3M. Like the record setting WSOP Online Circuit, GGPoker’s online bracelet event schedule will similarly have buy-in levels and formats that cater to a wide range of players.

“There’s nothing in the world like winning a WSOP bracelet,” said GGPoker ambassador, Daniel Negreanu. “Bringing this experience online will open the door for a new generation of poker players to feel the rush of competing for the game’s biggest prize.”

Consistent with GGPoker’s terms of service, play on the platform is prohibited from the United States. Any player discovered to be attempting to play from inside the US border will be deemed ineligible and prize money subject to forfeiture.

    WSOP.com online poker site sucks.

Players who were at the Rio have had problems playing on their fucking site and they have had all kinds of problems.

Only players from Nevada and New Jersey can play in the USA?

As for GGpoker, I have never played on that site.

I guess they ban all Americans from playing and they are the international poker site of choice because of Daniel Negreanu.
