There are two big reasons for this:

    1) Colleges and universities in the US are extremely left-biased, and there's tons of lefitst propaganda. An apolitical person entering college (as many 18-year-olds are) would be MUCH more likely to exit college a liberal than a conservative for this reason.

    2) College graduates are more likely to live in or near a big city, which lean more left. People will often subconsciously adjust their politics to the environment around them, especially if otherwise apolitical.

A lot of people on the left like to flaunt the "educated people are more likely to vote Democrat" in everyone's faces, with the implication that the more you learn, the more you realize being left is the "correct" way to view things. They completely ignore the bias in the institutions themselves.
no, there is a an underlying reason: most college kids come from middle class or poor backgrounds (as do most of their professors)...they come to learn that what separates them from their classmates in best/upper social classes isn't intelligence or hard work---it's just the privilege of being born to wealthy circumstances. yet the upper snobs come across acting as though they are genetically superior in every way rather than acknowledging they were just born lucky...thus, most college students favor removing the underpinnings of that advantage--so they favor high taxes on wealth/corporations/incomes to be used to provide social benefits such has health care/education/guaranteed income.
Are you insane? You said most college students are from "middle class and poor backgrounds"

I don't buy that nor do I buy your assumption that fellow students born into a higher tax bracket act "as though they are genetically superior"

This is not some b movie. I've been to college and nothing of the sort exists.
If you're talking about a Cambridge or Harvard type environment any student
who makes it there from humble beginnings know they are there for
past achievements. Any one there because of family status alone could not hold
quarter and would likely become the meaningful minority.

A blog post being shared on Facebook has a headline that contradicts reality in the killing of George Floyd, who died after a Minneapolis police officer pressed his knee into Floyd’s neck on May 25.

"Coroner saying George Floyd died of drug overdose, not police brutality," the Aug. 27 post says.

As evidence, it cites comments from Andrew Baker, the chief medical examiner in Hennepin County, who performed an autopsy on Floyd. But Baker didn’t say that Floyd died of a drug overdose.

The medical examiner’s office ruled that the manner of Floyd’s death was homicide.

The cause of death, according to the medical examiner, was "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression." The report goes on to say that Floyd "experienced a cardiopulmonary arrest while being restrained" by law enforcement officers.

What that means: Floyd’s heart stopped as Chauvin restrained him.

This blog post was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Facebook.)

Here’s what else you should know.

The county medical examiner noted significant conditions related to Floyd’s death. Arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease, fentanyl intoxication, and recent methamphetamine use.

Derek Chauvin, the officer who pressed his knee into Floyd’s neck, was fired from the Minneapolis Police Department and he’s been charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslauter in Floyd’s death.

Documents filed in that case include handwritten notes from a law enforcement interview with Baker, the medical examiner, a local NBC News affiliate reported on Aug. 26.

Baker said that Floyd’s toxicology report showed he had a "fatal level of fentanyl under normal circumstances" and that "if he were found dead at home alone and no other apparent causes, this could be acceptable to call an OD."

Baker also said: "I am not saying this killed him."

Chauvin’s lawyer is asking the judge to drop the charges in the case against the ex-police officer, arguing that Floyd died from a drug overdose and not because Chauvin put his knee on Floyd’s neck.

But the results of the two autopsies in this case don’t support that.

One, requested by Floyd’s family, and conducted by two doctors also found that Floyd’s death was a homicide, though it concluded that they thought he died of asphyxia — or suffocation — not cardiopulmonary arrest as the county medical examiner concluded.

We rate this blog post False.

What other way out for someone caught on video? It is the only out.
The only hope of the accused is to grasp at straws.

People suffering from opiate overdose are usually in respiratory failure
before help arrives. They are not in a cognitive state. They are at death's door
and only a little luck keeps them alive. Police officers are not new to such
    overdose situations.

A person suffering overdose is the least likely to cause bodily harm
to anyone, period. Kneeling on the throat of an overdose victim's throat is not
part of the protocol. No signs of overdosing, no overdose. Realize many thousands
have opiates in their bloodstream each and every day and live to the next.

Apologies to David USF. I read it wrong

"fatal" level of fentanyl means FATAL.

I don't care what your BLM blog says, he swallowed a FATAL dose of fentanyl.

    meaning IT WAS FATAL

That's quite a series of events over a fake twenty? A guy decides to essentially end his life with a lethal of dose of fentanyl over a possible fraud/drug charge.

Not knowing the arrested has minutes to live police make sure of it by kneeling on his neck.

And again, you must understand the drug that you suggest was the culprit.
An overdose is an overdose, there's no fighting, no begging, no talking, you are out and are no threat to any human.

the guy was a drug addict criminal, if the cops found his fentanyl he's looking at probably a decade in prison, he chose to swallow it, fentanyl Floyd was a drug addict criminal, a no good fucking loser

That is simply a defence lawyer's initial statement. A court will hopefully
boil it down to scientific evidence. You realize people are paid well

According to the guy that called the cops on him, Floyd was already high when in the store. Then he panicked and swallowed the rest of the fentanyl he had on him because he didn’t want to get busted and overdosed. Where the cops really fucked up is the delay is giving him assistance when he was clearly in trouble, similar to what happen with Eric Garner.

Another black dude killed by cops in Texas, Jonathan Price. If initial reports are accurate, this one looks pretty fuckin bad. Reports say he broke up a fight between a man and woman at a gas station. Cops showed up, tased then shot him.

    https://nypost.com/2020/10/04/texas-...olice-officer/

About to be more free shit up for grabs.

Yeah, this one is probably going to get real ugly; depending on where it happened in Texas.
