What is freeplay at Caesars based upon?

Does anyone know how TR Freeplay/Slotplay is calculated? Is it a percentage of theo loss or actual loss or something else?

As far as I know there is no direct equation when it comes to free play or slot play with Caesars. I have never gotten free slot play in Vegas unless it’s part of an offer. In Atlantic City the same thing. MGM properties have that capability.

In general comps are 10% of Actual Loss or 25% of the Theo. If you are at a property and playing a lot of slots you can usually go to the slot host and ask what your Theo is. I remember once I had a Theo around 7K (My theoretical worth to the casino each day) but I was about even and had less than 7 K in cash on me.

Unfortunately, when it comes to free play based on past slot play MGM & Cosmo have much better programs. MGM used to give me $250 on most 3 night offers & Cosmo $500. Ceasers program is better all and all but it comes up short in this department.

It's a complex formula. I don't know it, but I can tell you these things:

    - You get the most up front (when you have a new card and play heavily early on).

    - In the above "new card" scenario, you need to play heavily for 1-2 days, and then not touch your card for 2 months minimum, and wait for the offers to roll in. If you use your card on property that time, your offers will be less.

    - Other than the new card scenario, your offers are based upon MDV (marketing daily value), which is your theoretical loss ("theo" -- the amount per day you'd be expected to lose if your luck was exactly average) minus the amount of offers and comps redeemed. Basically MDV calculates exactly how much money they expect to make from you in an average session.

    - Your MDV is based upon recent and semi-recent play only. Not sure when the cutoff is.

    - Some properties will adjust your offers up if you lose really badly, especially on a new card. This is for two reasons: #1 they think perhaps you are really awful skill-wise (like a terrible video poker player), and #2 they want to entice you back after losing so badly the first time (out of fear you will deem the place "unlucky" and not want to return). However, offers are more based on MDV than actual.

    - The system "resets" you after 18 months or so of inactivity. Don't have the exact number, but it's around 18 months. By inactivity I mean a complete absence from Caesars properties (meaning you never use your card at any property for 18+ months). Once you start playing again, you are considered almost a new player, and can again get nice offers generated, though not quite as good as when you are absolutely new.
