Setting up a private cash game on a free poker app

I'm looking to take advantage of all the casinos/underground poker clubs/and casual home games that are now disbanded for the foreseeable future that are yearning for a place to play.

I figure starting off with a table of .50/1, 5% rake up to $3 bucks and then as the interest grows hopefully expand to 1/3 or even 2/5. People can ship money via Venmo and then I can supply their account with chips. On avg, with a full ring game, I could get $30-$40/hr in rake. Anyone knows how the rake is collected and deposited in your account?

I initially was looking at PPPoker as the interface is pretty simple and easy to navigate. Anyone have any other good apps that they play on themselves?

Any tips or advice would be great. TIA

Seriously, the fact that you would ask that and can't figure it out on your own shows you don't know what you're doing at all

Just have one account for player deposits and operating funds and take some out whenever you need it. That's how the pros do it.

These "pros", they have an app they prefer? As far as I see, PPPoker gives you 10k chips and cahrges a 5% fee to transfer, Do these chips replenish since they are technically fake?

You can license one pretty cheap from Pocket Kings Ltd.

After the player gets up from the seat, his chips are then claimed back, and then you ship him those funds. Seems easy

As far as I can see, eventually, with the 5% fee they take when you trade chips, youll run out of chips and thats when you will need to "buy" diamonds which can be exchanged for play money chips. So there is a bit of overhead, and the higher the games run the more of an investment there is with these diamonds

If you trust BellyBuster (operator can see the cards), I'm sure all could be set up right here by clicking on the NoFraud Online Poker.

Everyone deposits through an escrower who holds the $ until people wanna cash out.

Play money goes on on NoFraud Online Poker room.

Oops, that's basically FullTilt's model and this would turn Druff into the equivalent of Ray Bitar.

The time to do this was ~7 weeks ago.

There has been a private club explosion during this period.

Best advice I can give is these clubs work when it’s “small” and “Local”.

You don’t want anyone getting buried for more than a few hundred, maybe a thousand a week. You need to have a good control of the credit. Some of these apps will not put a Celing on credit. As this gets bigger you will get stiffed by someone and someone who wins isn’t going to want to hear about you needing to collect first. If you want to accept the rake make sure you have a bankroll to fund the economy.

Keep it local to people you know or know of & where they can be found.

Big money at a distance people get the idea they can tell you to fuck off.

Local and reasonable amounts people would rather just cough it up.

Be careful not to have a million Venmo/PayPal transactions if you can help it. Eventually that will come home to
    Roost.

Oh no, payments will be made first then chips will be transferred. My only concern is the several Venmo transfers that will take place. Need to figure out what the limit on transfers per week on something like Venmo to avoid suspicion. I hear people's accounts get frozen but never get to the bottom of why exactly. I do about 15 or so a week as it is with a separate business and it would seriously devastate me if I got the account frozen.

Well the Lebanese guy did say every software was exploitable in the same way if the user has the executable to install themselves, right?

Of course it “can” work. You just need a pool of 12-20 local people who like to play cards for a few hours each night who have $500-$1000 of cash and OneStep would need to have the trust of these people not to fuck them over.

What usually happens is you end up with a pool of players who pay up front (the pros) and a group of folks you want in the game as they are action (the fish) and get others to play but are good credit risks. OneStep would need to help finance that part of it. Sometimes the pros are on credit and the fish pay up front but more often than not it’s the way I first described.

Despite some of the bad publicity on this board this model does work and there are folks who are making money both as agents and players.
