I can't even begin to tell you how bonkers this type of mistake makes me. It's bad enough if it's a one-off mistake but when it's done over and over (and in this case it's the title of a series) it melts my brain.
Why do people make this mistake? Aprostrophe-S does not pluralize anything. Some might argue that there are some exceptions such as using it for things like "the 1990's" but you actually shouldn't put the apostrophe in there. It should just be "the 1990s". No apostrophe. I've noticed that this mistake is commonly made for words that end in vowels, like "typos" will become "typo's". I guess the thinking is that the "s" looks strange after a vowel. Or people do it a lot for proper nouns like "We're the Johnson's". Again, it should just be "Johnsons."
Apostrophe-S makes something possessive. That's it.
Anyways, it's a telltale sign of stupidity. And Stacey is clearly a fucking imbecile.
