His martingale strategy was flawed from the beginning by playing $100-$200-$300 step martys. After step 2 he's playing to break even. Either way traditional martingale or "modified martingale" they are all -EV. With a 4 step Marty you will hit busto 1 in 15 bets.
I don't think Million paid CM anything. I think Million thinks that "Martingale" is a strategy that CM created. He doesn't realize its been a losing gambling strategy developed Century's ago.
Millions problem is he thinks he just had "bad luck". I believe this is similar to CM's thinking. They believe they have a winning system, just hit a bad run. Its amazing to me the number of people who think these games can be beat with a martingale betting system.
