PV has been all over SMG. Here a few quick observation/questions I have....

1) Clearly they used Christopher Mitchell name to get more attention and viewers. I have no problem with that as long as they are in the right side.

2) I think the payment app was the main goal at first. However, they quickly noticed making baccarat strategy videos gets you a lot of subs & views. People are simply looking so hard for this code that doesn’t exist. We have discussed this at length.

3) There are infinite strategies and people will listen. They are done, as PV pointed out, by a narrator & presented in a pleasant tone. People love this shit. You can build a channel a lot faster than say...making fun of Chrissy.

4) I have no idea exactly where their headed. I am not sure if they even do right now. The payment app has seemed to have been discarded. They are now exclusively baccarat strategy videos. The other shoe will drop at some point.

5) Would like to see them take Druff up on his offer.

6) Regarding MLM, is their a difference from getting compensated for a referral and the full blown pyramid? I think there is and that’s why I think it’s good to just let them clarify that shit.

Smart move by Chrissy if he doesn’t want me making videos to pivot to crypto. It’s not my thing. There is a long thread in the Flying Stupidity section for anyone that wants to talk crypto. Being around poker for some time I have heard enough about Crypto for 100 lifetimes. I couldn’t watch a regular video on it, much less a Chrissy video. BTW, he's used a recycled the thumbnail from a video from the beginning of 2020 for this latest video (back when he was showing $40-50K in real and/or prop money). Yes...a definite Chrissy classic. Some thoughts from me:

1. If all basic strategy players are selfish and he feels they will take cards away from him...then why not just play 1st base and be done?

2. Why is he doing this weird dealing with the two piles of cards that he says would be too high and fall over? The guy owns a shoe. We just saw it two weeks ago.

3. he thinks that turning a soft hand into a hard hand of the same total actually makes the hand worse? Why would that be? The argument with the soft 17 is plain idiotic. There’s only 5 cards out of 13 that make that hand worse. Ad when the dealer has a 7 or higher their average hand is 18, which already beat you...so take the damn hit.

4. He completely missed the point on the splitting of aces. Yes indeed you are trying to make the hand even out. But what he fails to acknowledge on that one hand was had the guy had the soft 12 and just taken a hit he then would have (assuming he plays Chrissys way) held on the resulting hard 12 and lost. By splitting he did not lose.

5. Chrissy wasn’t tracking how the other players were actually doing. A lot of double downs were won....but fat chance Chrissy would ever acknowledge that.

6. Further to the above..he only acknowledges on one hand that because the other players did what they were supposed to do under basic strategy the whole table won. He’s only calling out the times it didn’t work in his favor. But that’s a common flaw at the table. People only remember the time the third baseman messed up the hand. They don’t remember the times his perceived bad moves actually created a table win. If it were possible for “bad play” to kill a table the casino would pay somebody to sit at third base all day and mess things up.

7. I agree with him that doubling on a soft 19 is not a good play. But I would never call it a selfish play. If it were a soft 18 however against a 6 I’m doubling down all day.

8. No Bust + No Double + Martingale = Guaranteed win (assuming everyone at the table plays the same way)?? Nope...that’s not happening. You need to have not had to go Marty X 6 a total of 64 times to counteract the one time you did go that far. Believe me. I’ve tried this...and it doesn’t take too long before you hit that stretch where the dealer goes 20-20-21-20-19-20 and you cancelled out all the Martys you won or just lost your bankroll.

9. I get why he doesn’t want to split or double down....it’s FEAR....fear of messing up the Martingale (i.e if you double and lose that’s one less Marty you can play). And also why should he care if someone doubles on a 10 or 11? That player will take only one card...which is exactly the same as what Chrissy would take on his magical no bust strategy.

Anyway...I could go on and on. Anyone with a brain in their head will know why what he’s pressing is dumb. I get the part about not wanting to hit on a 16. I know a lot of players who won’t do that...But not hitting on a 12, 13, or even 14 when the dealer has a 7 or above is just moronic...and on average you will indeed lose that hand.

On yesterdays Bitcoin video, Chrissy had just over 2.2k in Bitcoin available to trade. Probably the money for bills for the remainder of the month. Stacy was probably sweating bullets why Chrissy practiced being a "Day Trader".

But no, he doesn't show shit for proof. That money that he is using to finance this sham is probably coming from unemployment and other government resources.



Think about it everyone...has anyone been to the casino since these people have received these unemployment and stimulus payments? Let’s make it a great V-Day for Chrissy!

I had a little time to kill today so I decided to take Chrissy at his word. In his Blackjack demonstration videos he always says that if you don’t believe him “try it yourself.” So...I did.

I dealt actual cards to three players in the Chrissy ultimate Nirvana situation....all three of the players would be playing the no bust and would be martingaling. You know the scenario....the one that Chrissy says it’s impossible for the casino to win on?

Here’s what I set up:

- 8 decks of cards in a shoe (yes I do own an actual shoe)
- 3 players each starting with $6300 in chips (which is enough to martingale 6 times with a base bet of $100)
- No player would hit on any hard hand of 12 or above
- No player would hit on a soft hand of 17 or above (because Chrissy says the odds are better here that you will worsen your hand than improve it)
- No player would double down
- No player would split
- No player would take insurance
- Everyone would martingale

The object was to play two shoes with all players playing Chrissy’s exact strategy. If at any time a player suffered the “impossible” 6 losses in a row that player would be done for the simulation while the remaining players continued. Any player who did not experience the 6 in a row loss would keep playing all the way till the end of the second shoe. Once either all three players had dropped out or the second shoe ended I would tally up how much money each player had left.

So...here’s what happened.

In shoe number one none of the three players suffered the 6 in a row loss. Player number 2 made it to his fifth martingale at one point but won that hand. Player number 3 made it to the fifth martingale once (and got a Blackjack on it) and then also got to a sixth martingale but won that hand as well. So...first shoe comes to an end and Chrissy is looking like a genius. Every player had made profit.

Now...on to shoe number two....and since I know Chrissy would just say that everyone should walk away from the table since they were ahead I got up from where I was playing and moved to a different part of my house...you know...because this makes the cards fresh and is a far better strategy than just playing a new shoe at the same table.

The second shoe started off well and good with all players winning units with only a few levels of martingale. But then approximately 35% into the shoe player 2 was on his 6th martingale and player 3 was on his 5th. Both players would be done in consecutive hands. That’s right...two players achieved the six in a row loss (the one that isn’t supposed to happen when you martingale and everyone at the table is playing no bust) pretty much at the same time, Can you imagine that? So this left player number one. He played 1:1 with the dealer from that point forward...and he almost made it all the way to the end...But that 6 in a row loss was not to be denied. It happened to him just a few hands before the cut card was to come out.

So...in just a single shoe (albeit the second one ...or the second “table” that was played) all three players suffered the six in a row loss and gave the house $6300 each. But because the first shoe had gone okay for them no player had gone completely bust. Based on different players having gotten Blackjacks at different times during the proceedings the remaining numbers were different across the three. Here are the final tallies after two shoes:

Player 1 - Finished with $3300 for a loss of $3000
Player 2 - Finished with $2000 for a loss of $4300
Player 3 - Finished with $3900 for a loss of $2400

Remember that Player 3 was the one that hit the Blackjack on his 5th martingale, which meant that he picked up an extra 8 units just on that one hand. Player 2 might have hit one blackjack the whole time and it was at one of the lower martingales....so he did the worst.

So yes...we had the scenario here where for a little while this strategy appeared to be working well. But all it took was one more shoe (which could have just as easily been a different table at the same casino or moving to a completely different casino...it really doesn't’ matter) and already all three players were in he negative by a considerable amount. You can play 15 minutes per table or 15 minutes per casino and it doesn’t matter. 15 minutes at two tables is the same as 30 minutes at one...it’s just that simple. And it doesn’t matter if the time is in a single day or spreads across multiple days....at some point the six in a row will come.

While I didn’t keep stats specifically on this I can say that I observed a lot of situations wherein the players lost because they didn't’ take hits on 12-16 and had they done so it could have worked out a little differently (i.e. this was not a situation where the dealer was simply getting 20s every hand. But the dealer also wasn’t busting a lot at various times and that’s where the whole no bust strategy is going to kill you.

Hopefully the people who have started thinking that Chrissy’s strategy is great are reading this and will maybe think twice. I was hoping to video the whole thing but didn’t. Maybe next time.
