yes your giving him view time and the more of the video you watch it gives or tells YT a percentage of how much each viewer is watching the video... if more people watch the whole video it tells YT's algorithm that people must be interested in this stuff.... and since now he is monetized he will do better if the view counts are up and the total watch time is good especially if you or anyone else is watching the whole video... so even just watching for 5 minutes gives him a " view count "... the more view counts the better for him too, i circumvent this by right clicking and copying the video link and then i paste it in a YT video downloading site and then watch it on my computer...RMS9: How does YouTube give credit for watch time? If I only watch say 5 minutes, or I fast forward the entire video, does he get watch time credit? I’ve always wondered how that worked.
i then upload it to the catbox.moe site for you guys to watch it... thus not giving him a view count or any watch time... there was another site called tempclip.com that worked very similar to the catbox site and i actually liked the tempclip site better than catbox site but the tempclip site has been down recently.... i am not affiliated with either site in any way.... and they are both totally safe.... it's just an option to watch the video without helping him out...
