You could put his exact strategy through a sim(which obviously would never make a mistake) and he is someone that would still believe the strategy will work as long as he is the one playing it. Just about all these people believe they have a sort of 6th sense that others don't possess and you will never get them to believe otherwise.

What's ironic is that the complete opposite is true to an extent---when you are playing a +ev game you do need discipline and bankroll management(obviously) when you're playing a -ev game and your goal is to make money you should just bet everything on one throw of the dice or on flip of the card---the logic being that you have the best chance to double your money by just going all-in. When you martingale the more martingales in your sequence the lower and lower your probability becomes of doubling your initial bankroll. Obviously i would NEVER recommend either but if you have to do one the latter is the way to go...If you aren't playing for the rush or the fantasy but just about money.

The reason these people(along with CM himself) believe a big bankroll is key is that they believe they will get enough sequences in their martingales that it will be impossible to lose that many times in a row. It isn't!(obviously)

I know some of you are doubting Chrissy's story. Indeed, he's a habitual liar who loves to tell tall tales in order to reel in suckers.

However, as you pointed out, Chrissy was flipping out in court in that bogus restraining order case against you, and almost got arrested for contempt. If he's willing to do that in front of a judge, he's definitely willing to do that to a parking lot security guard.

Indeed Chrissy has major issues with authority figures. I think that's at the room of his unwillingness to hold a job. He feels he's above anyone being able to tell him what to do. Chrissy is an arrogant narcissist who thinks he's better than everyone, smarter than everyone, and generally above the entire rest of humanity. Folks, when Chrissy is broke, he does one or more of these 3 things in his videos/posts:

1) Angrily rants about the haters

2) “Plays for the low rollers” online

3) Brags about a quick, unimpressive win in ROI terms, completely ignoring the losing sessions beforehand


Here he’s doing #1 and #3.

The ROI shit from a short session is him telling the chums (and himself), “See! I win at a great rate!” after a long stretch of losing.

He also misuses the term. $10,000 buyin for $100/hand for 10 minutes isn’t “investing” $10,000. The chips he didn’t bet are the same as money in his pocket. But Chrissy is too dumb to understand that.
