Long story short I was greedy and the dude knew enough to make me comfortable risking a small amount of money. As soon as I sent it something clicked that should have clicked before and I started looking him up. He's been selling it for months using stolen ebay pics. I did find an ad in another group where the dude left his phone number though... Have $500 worth of fun with it.
This guy is a known Facebook scammer.
He basically trolls gambling and Vegas related Facebook groups and "sells" shit he doesn't have. Last I heard he was in Vegas, but I haven't checked in awhile. He was also in LA awhile, so he might be back there. Believe it or not, that's his real name, but he assumes the identity of a guy in New York with the same name, in order to feign legitimacy.
You might want to report this to local police. Since you have his name (and possibly his location), and he's not foreign-based, you might get them interested in investigating.

He refunded me this money. No call, text, explanation or anything. But the money was refunded to my cashapp today.
