I'm curious to know who is declaring the GOP dead? Anyone that follows politics knows they took back a lot of house seats and did very well in state legislatures.
Democrats want to govern. They will be no Democratic version of the Freedom Caucus. It just doesn't fit. No lefty is going to vote no on stuff like the debt ceiling or omnibus spending bills because they don't include medicare4all or whatever. The culture is entirely different and thinking there will be obstruction like the kind that plagued Ryan and Boehner is mostly just Republican wank fantasy.
The 240 year old leadership group in the house just ran unopposed for speaker, majority leader and whip, so I wonder when the revolution is expected to start?
