I have contact with a lot of people on the right whom I consider unreasonable and/or conspiracy prone. These are the people who believe Trump really won this election, and that a lot of COVID was a hoax. I've talked to them. I can't get through to them.

However, it's not because of what Trump said or did. It's the opposite. Trump didn't come out strongly for masking because his most dedicated supporters decided they hated both masks and lockdowns, and that it was an affront to their freedom. Had Trump come out strongly for masking, these people would have ignored him and not done it anyway. Trump wanted his base to still be supportive during the election year, so he didn't strongly oppose them on the masking thing. Sad but true. I wish that wasn't his approach, but I disagree that he brainwashed followers into not masking.

This is another example of you making an issue out as binary that isn't, all in the name of Trump.

There's no way that Trumps rhetoric and actions did not influence how many Americans wear/wore masks.

Sure, there are plenty of Trump supporters that would've refused regardless of who the President was. Do you think any of them might feel emboldened now, and more likely to say or do things that would discourage others from wearing masks.

Honestly I don't even read any news about the Trump election disputes anymore, nor do I watch any videos about it.

It's dumb. Time to accept defeat in that one and move on. All Republicans except for Donald Trump can take solace in the fact that the GOP picked up 10 or so house seats (instead of losing 10, as expected) and will very likely hold the Senate.

Steven Crowder has done nothing but cover the election fraud nonsense for the past 2 weeks, and it's been unwatchable. Credit to Ben Shapiro for not taking that line -- he admits that it's an "uphill battle" and "would require extraordinary proof" to work, and he mostly covers other things. He's not quite as insistent that it's over as he should be (probably to avoid pissing off much of his audience), but at least he's being sensible for the most part.
