Remember how he was described by the times as a "senior administration official"? Well, he wasn't. The Times lied because they wanted to both conceal his identity and troll Trump.

Believe it or not, I don't totally blame the guy for his first course of action. If he was really alarmed at how Trump was behaving in office, and wanted to let the public know without suffering the intense backlash to his career and/or personal life, it was reasonable to write that anonymous column.

However, once it graduated to a book, it began to look a lot more like attention whoring.

Now it really looks like attention whoring, even if he's saying things which he really believes. Even someone at The Lincoln Project is skeptical of this dude's intentions.

He claims in his blog that he's still a Republican, and while he endorses Biden, he's only doing so because Trump is unfit for office. He admits that Biden will enact "progressive policy" which he and others will "fight", but still claims Biden is the lesser of two evils.

That by itself, again, is reasonable. I don't agree with it, but at least he concedes that Biden isn't totally his cup of tea. That's a lot more than The Lincoln Project does, where their videos look identical to Biden campaign ads, and they also push left-wing talking points.

However, I'm still skeptical. Taylor claims that Trump is solely responsible for diving the nation, which simply isn't true. It was divided big time during Obama's Administration, and Trump only hastened further division by tilting the libs to the point where they got quickly more extreme, and then Trump got more defiant in response.

I will concede that Trump has definitely had a big hand in dividing the nation, but I'm highly skeptical of any "Republican" who claims that he's the one solely responsible, while letting the left off the hook.

So in the last two full years on record, we are averaging 18.5 unarmed black men shot by police each year. Sure, it would be great if the number were zero, but that's impossible in a huge country of 330 million people, where there will always be both bad cops and human mistakes.

Therefore, with 42 million black people in the US, and only 37 shot unarmed by cops in the past 2 years, I'd say that this isn't an epidemic which is exterminating large numbers of black people.
