nikka,...we ain't 20 yr old foreign movie hipsters that like arsenal and think they know it all.

we're 40/50 yr olds that in fact know it all.

all i wanna know is if this is the american version of "i spit on your grave"

It's an intense film. Noe has a very interesting style. That film stressed me out, sort of the same way Uncut Gems did. His first film was good too. The last few haven't been as strong.

Krypt obviously doesn’t under the full meaning of the classic proverbial admonition to not waste one’s time casting pearls before them.

Gaspar Noe films (my ratings, out of 10):
    Irreversible 9
    I Stand Alone 8
Enter the Void 6 (some rough acting)
    Love 6 (mostly non-actors?)

Have you seen his newest film, Climax? Rather good imo and I saw it in theaters, which was a thoroughly uncomfortable experience. Fantastic soundtrack as well.

the fact that noe was able to actually get scenes out of paz de la huerta in void elevates him to perm god level, there is no denying his talent.
