WSOP cancellation or delay not to be decided until early May

    https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports...e-may-1990546/

Notice this is exactly what I was stating for the past month or so.

They want to see where we stand in early May before making a decision on whether to delay or cancel it. They don't want to announce that it's been completely postponed, because they're hoping maybe they could start it later, but not drop the entire schedule.

Guaranteeing 15$ a down,.....took them years to finally wake up...if they can afford it this year they could've done it long ago.....

The dealers in General will stink.....for the $$ you are Paying you deserve seasoned competent dealers, not 1st gig students fresh outta the boss's schools.

What does “$10 a down” mean?

    I’ll guess:
You are guaranteed $10 or $15/hr in tips after the tokes are chopped up. Casino makes up the difference.

These are absolute boom times. I wonder what some of these guys got into? Construction jobs must be great now.

"Downs" are a 1/2 hr of dealing... if I get 10 Downs a shift I add that to my Hourly.

I know what a “down” is now.

So $10 a down is $20/hr? Where does the $5k $10k come into the picture?

    I love the lingo, “$10 a down”.

DOWNS were 35$+ in2005. went down steadily until now...
After last ,2019s ? Colossus" or rake free ,1 of the massive fields. Downs were 9$?! dealers walked out that summer 2019...

In 2019 they were able to supplement with Brand new never dealt a down 200 Chinese dealers on work visas.... Not this yr.... foreign work Visas are halted....

You are not going to like the dealers that take this gig...

Met a woman at Foxwoods who was a recruiter. Her job was to tour Eastern Europe and bring back labor. They were housed & trained. That was almost 15 years ago. It definitely had that plantation feel at the time.

2008 cratered their over leveraged ass.

Someday you gotta explain where the unions come into this. I tuned out of poker right about when the United Auto Workers entered the picture in Connecticut.

No foreign work visas now. Good. Fuck slave labor
