FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried also ruled out a potential acquisition of popular trading app Robinhood.
Instead he’s gonna make a stable coin for dummies.
Damn. I had $1K in Amazon puts I sold this week for a small profit. I don’t even want to know how much $$ I just lost if I would have held them.

FREE MY NIGGA TRUMP ON GOD
Last 20 years we had abundant energy and cheap money. Needless to say that’s not the case going forward - we are just riffing off this basic tune
Speaking of which, Janet Yellen and the G7 trying to limit Russian oil to $60 is so idiotic that central planners now have me truly frightened.
Apparently, Elon fired that really stupid female, Indian attorney.
That’s a good start.
Tesla engineers inside twitter today to get the code and dig into the system for Elon. Twitter employees were locked out of the code at Noon.
Just the beginning
The Twitter executives who were fired include Parag Agrawal, Twitter’s chief executive, Ned Segal, the chief financial officer, Vijaya Gadde, the top legal and policy executive, and Sean Edgett, the general counsel, said the people, who declined to be identified because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
At least one of the executives who was fired was escorted out of Twitter’s office, they said.
Mr. Musk faces a deadline of Friday to complete his deal to buy Twitter. It was unclear if he had closed the acquisition by the time the executives were fired. He arrived at the company’s headquarters in San Francisco on Wednesday and has been meeting with engineers and advertising executives.
The billionaire, 51, has promised to transform Twitter by taking it private, loosening the service’s content moderation rules, making its algorithm more transparent and nurturing subscription businesses, as well as laying off employees. Mr. Musk at one point tried to back out of the deal but recommitted to it this month as he faced legal challenges for trying to withdraw.
Mr. Musk, Mr. Agrawal, Mr. Segal, Ms. Gadde, Mr. Edgett and a Twitter spokeswoman did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Mr. Agrawal, who was appointed Twitter’s chief executive last year, had clashed with Mr. Musk publicly and privately in recent months about the takeover. Mr. Musk had also singled out Ms. Gadde, criticizing her for her role in content moderation decisions at the company.
didnt read one sentence but zero chance n-wordtine is up lifetime lmao
The people he "fired' are the ones who forced him to buy the company at a super inflated price when he tried to back out, so they could cash out big. Musk WAY overpaid for this company, and he knows it.
You cant have it both ways. When we call out libtards for trying to spin their disasters as victories, we should do the same for the other side (not really sure Musk is actually on the other side, although he certainly doesn't pass the progressive purity test, so I guess that makes him "alt-right" according to them)
Read his statement. This wasn't about money for Musk, it was about returning the digital public square to it's rightful owners. That would be everyone, not just certain people.
He truly is a different kind of breed. I'm not questioning anything the man is doing at this point, he is way ahead of all of us.
All the beauty salons in Silicon Valley were very busy today. The pink and blue haired liberals that work for Twitter were getting their hair color reversed back to it's natural color. Elon is gonna actually make them work. And he's also gonna unlock all suspended accounts.
LOL @ anyone feeling sorry for these super-rich executives who got fired.
These assholes got paid a fortune to essentially turn the modern town square into a left wing propaganda outlet. So, yes, when you do that and someone who doesn't agree with such a company philosophy buys the company, then you can expect to get fired.
The other issue is that they lied to Elon about the percentage of bots on the system, and then compelled him to make this overpriced purchase. So that may even be a bigger reason he fired them.
Vijaya Gadde, the lawyer in charge of "Twitter Safety", was an absolutely horrible SJW who was behind a lot of the platform's highly biased, unfair, and often contradictory policies.
Twitter also had a huge disparity when it came to the standards of bullying and harassment, depending upon who you were. If you were a member of a "victim class", the slightest bit of criticism (or statement of fact) would get you suspended. For example, I pointed out that a Congressional candidate in Massachusetts (who was also a career scammer), Brianna Wu, was trans but not being public about it, instead exploiting an "oppressed woman in the gaming industry" narrative. I was suspended for "transphobic attacks", despite the fact that I was simply pointing out that a CANDIDATE FOR US CONGRESS was oddly hiding the fact that they were trans.
At the same time, everyone else on the platform could get doxxed or threatened with death, and Twitter would either ignore it or simply "warn" the offending party. Even their enforcement of system rules was highly biased.
Twitter also banned a sitting President and a major publication in existence since the 1800s, yet would allow leaders of murderous and oppressive foreign regimes to tweet unhindered.
The whole thing was so awful, so it's beautiful to see these pieces of shit shown the door.
