Caesar's Entertainment makes tens of millions in rake and other income for hosting these events.

Last year, the Main Event attracted 8,569 players, the second-largest field in history after 2006. The winner earned $10,000,000, with 1,286 players finishing in the money.

If the WSOP happens this year there will probably be a smaller field.

Flu season is almost over which should limit the coronavirus infection.

Until somebody gets infected and dies of the coronavirus, at the Rio, Caesar's Entertainment will probably proceed with the WSOP.

The reason people will not show up is nobody wants a 103 fever with chills in a hotel room. WTF is the matter with you? I canceled a cruise next month.
