Daily Deepstacks moved to little-used Masquerade Village casino at Rio

The Masquerade Village was once a happening place, back in the '90s and early 2000s.

It featured the iconic "Show in the Sky", and there was a constant Brazilian-themed party atmosphere throughout the casino, with singers and dancers throughout most of the day.

As the Rio got older and less relevant, they kept paring down the entertainment, until shutting down the Show in the Sky entirely in 2013. Since then, the Masquerade Village has become a depressing ghost town full of little-used slot machines, mostly-ignored shops, and not much else.

There is a food court in the upper corner of it. That's where Smashburger is located.

This is also where the Masquerade Tower is located -- the "better" tower at the Rio, which in reality is worse and less convenient, especially during WSOP.

Anyway, the WSOP finally realized that they could use a lot of that empty space, and so it has finally happened. In 2020, the Daily Deepstacks will be in the Masquerade Village casino.

Everything else remains relatively the same as in 2019. The cash games will be the same offering as before (see above link), and will still be in the Pavilion Room. The King's Lounge will be back in the same location, for high limit games. The satellites will all be in the Pavilion Room, as well.

Here's The Show in the Sky from back in 2012:

I like the $250 HORSE Monday tournaments. Personally I would love to see a NL 2-7 Single Draw deep stack, but Im guessing there wouldn't be much interest in that.

too slow a game and does not generate enough Rake % to Staff it etc.
