Austin Texas- possibly SXSW

I’m planning a trip to Austin this spring, just the wife & I. Any suggestions? We may or may not be there during SXSW. We may or may not skip down to San Antonio for a day or two.

Hotels, food, flights (Austin or SA?), daytrips?

Thoughts, suggestions, or input?

In San Antonio have drinks and dinner on the Riverwalk outdoors if weather permits.
