Yup. True story. The look on the funeral director’s face was priceless.
And my sister apparently immediately forgot having done so until I reminded her about it over a decade later. And she was then apparently more than a bit guilty about it afterward for awhile. But she now sees it as an fitting recovery response to the years of emotional trauma she had suffered from the years of near-narcissistic treatment of her by our dear mum. And it’s something we now chuckle about when bringing it up.
Speaking of cremations, here’s some useful advise on how to avoid getting ripped off if you get a relative cremated.
The money you save would then be useful to honor this dead relative with some personalized sparkling water made from actual diamonds.
