Aaron Duczak is Canadian, so presumably he didn't get one of the mRNA vaccine.
On a side note, I have been going out to live poker rooms and casinos frequently, and no COVID for me. No way to prove this until they do a study on it (which they may never do), but I think it's possible that people who had Omicron BA.2 are immune to current variant XBB 1.5.
At the moment, XBB 1.5 is getting close to 80% of all new cases in the US. It is the most contagious variant yet. Given that it's an offshoot of BA.2, natural immunity from a previous BA.2 infection might be protecting me. At the time I got COVID in early-mid June 2022, BA.2 was the most dominant variant in Nevada.
This would also be a good time to remind everyone to take Vitamin D supplements. It's pretty much a freeroll to take 4000 IU of Vitamin D3 every day. It has no downside, and no side effects to take that amount. Healthy Vitamin D levels are important to many health functions, especially once you're over 40, when it often tends to decline. It does not require a prescription.
There is now a strong belief that Vitamin D levels correlate with severity of COVID cases, and that
those taking Vitamin D supplements are getting milder cases. My case was extremely mild, and I was taking Vitamin D at the time (which I still am).
