A previously healthy model from Florida has been in hospital fighting for her life after suffering a heart attack earlier this month. Claire was admitted to Tampa General Hospital on January 16th with severe leg pain, diagnosed with myocarditis, rhabdomyolysis, mild pneumonia, cyanotic and acidosis.

The more time goes on, the more I hear about younger vaxxed people dying, and unhealthy lifestyle in unvaxxed dying well after Covid struck and usually via heart issues or strokes.
Strokes are especially high. Can only imagine the long long long term effects of both the bio weapon and the mRNA pseudo solution.

What still isn't clear to me is if I'm going to derive much benefit from it. From Israeli studies, there was a 78% reduction of death from the 4th shot versus just 3 shots in the over-60 group, but it's not separated out which "over 60" people were really saved. If it disproportionately helped those who were very old or very sick, that doesn't do much for me. I have a feeling that might have been the case. I'm also 50, which is a far cry from 60 for COVID purposes, and a very far cry from 70+.
The third shot was shown to significantly make a difference in the chance of getting symptomatic Delta, especially if it had been 5+ months since the second shot. Indeed, in a room full of COVID positive people during the WSOP, I didn't get Delta. It was later found to even make more of a difference against Omicron, as the two-shot regimen was mostly useless in preventing symtpomatic disease, and three shots were good (though not perfect) at stopping it. Sure enough, I had Omicron right in my house, and didn't catch it.
However, while the data was very clear about the third shot's benefits (even before Omicron showed up), the fourth shot does not show this. It's a much harder decision for me, especially given that there is some chance it brought on the gout problems I had, which began only 2 weeks after the third shot. I had high uric acid levels and a few minor gout attacks in the prior 10 years, but never to the extent I've seen since October. Other vaccines have been known to worsen gout, so this isn't far fetched.
I am not worried about a bad adverse reaction beyond the gout and the three days of illness, because I've gotten through the first three shots without any apparent long term damage.
Still, I don't want to put myself through a bad illness every 5-6 months for the rest of my life, if the benefits aren't super clear.

I can look at everything with an independent mind, and decide for myself where each "side" is correct and incorrect.
The left was wrong on nearly everything, but they were correct on one big thing -- the vaccine. (However, it should be noted that their plans to distribute it based upon "racial equity" were lolbad, and not done anywhere else in the world.)
The data shows that all 3 shots of the vaccine were very useful, especially to those 45+. It is possible that we've hit the wall, however, and the fourth shot might be a waste of time and side-effect tolerance for most Americans.
I will wait a month before deciding what to do. Even if I do determine the 4th shot will help me, the best time to get it would be late April -- about a month before the WSOP begins, and about 2.5 months before it ends.
FYI despite the fact that I probably have relatively little Omicron protection at this point (booster was in mid-October), I still went to the Bike and played both a tournament and cash last week. I'm in the stage of "living with COVID being out there", and don't plan to hide from it anymore.

Two young European competitive cyclists die suddenly, another suffers heart attack at finish line in last two weeks
The Tour de France is the most prestigious and treacherous multi-stage bicycle race in the world. The first one took place in 1903, and spanned 19 days and 1,509 miles (2,428 kilometers). Tour de France 2022 runs from July 1 to July 24, 2022, and spans 2,068 miles (3,328 kilometers). Needless to say, only the most well-trained and conditioned human beings can compete in something like that. Surely there is a long list of cyclists who have collapsed and/or died during the 118-year history of this race (with interruptions during World War I and II). But that is not the case.
Adolphe Hélière was the first recorded death at the Tour de France. The Frenchman died on July 14, 1910. Many accounts of the incident say he died from a jellyfish sting while swimming on a rest day after the sixth stage of the race. Francisco Cepeda was the second recorded death during the tour. The 29-year-old Spaniard crashed into a revine, and fractured his skull during the eighth stage of the tour on July 11, 1935. He died a short time later in a hospital.
Tom Simpson was the most successful British cyclist in the 1960s. He was climbing 6,000-foot Mont Ventoux in southern France during Stage 13 of the 1967 tour on July 13, 1967. Mr. Simpson, 29, had already shown signs of extreme fatigue in previous stages. But he refused to quit the race. He started zig-zagging near the peak of the mountain, before suddenly collapsing. He was pronounced dead a short time later. A July 31, 1967 Daily Mail article reported that Mr. Simpson died from heat, amphetamines and alcohol.
Fabio Casartelli won a gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona at the age of 22. He was well on his way to a long, successful career in professional cycling. But Mr. Casartelli crashed during the 15th stage of the Tour de France on July 18, 1995, and suffer several skull fractures. He died later that day. The International Cycling Union finally made helmets mandatory after the death of Kazakh cyclist Andrei Kivilev at the Paris-Nice race on March 11, 2003. He crashed and suffered severe head trauma.
Granted there are three major races in the cycling Grand Tour – Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España. But in 108 Tour de France’s spanning 118 years, four riders have died during the event. Three of the five total deaths listed herein probably could have been prevented with helmets. Another death was caused by a venomous sea creature. Thus only one Tour de France death in over a century was someone collapsing on the course, during training, or shortly after a course. The Tour de France averages one death every 27 races, and none since 1995. How things have changed in 2022.
