Anyway back on the personal COVID front:

- Benjamin still has symptoms, dating back to January 9. However, they lessened somewhat today. He's still coughing and still has a mild sore throat. I am not yet that concerned about a long COVID possibility, since his friends (who got it before him) are also still sick, and many COVID cases have 2 weeks of symptoms.

- I do not have any symptoms. It is likely he's not very contagious anymore, so I probably dodged it. It is likely the booster protected me, but there's the possibility that he just wasn't transmitting much.

Not trolling, so please don't take it this way, but are you walking around with a mask in your house?

Pooh has common sense. Something these organizations are lacking in from time to time. CDC and WHO are at odds about masking kids, no? Plus, who can trust an organization taking its cues from the United Federation of Teachers? Also, these organizations are slow to react. There should be guidance already to lift all restrictions, end any vaccine mandate, normalize the schools and to stop testing people who are not sick and to stop forcing these tests on children in schools who are also not sick. Common sense eventually has to prevail as it has in England already. I like it that Pooh has the confidence to say what he believes is right and wrong. There are far too few people and organizations speaking up for and defending the children of blue states who are suffering terribly under the weight of the punishments/abuses inflicted upon them by those who are supposed to stand up for them. There is nothing funny about child abuse so, please, Pooh, don't stop.

Yeah. I have similar issue. I can rant and rave about Los Angeles county all I want, but my wife’s family is all here and my wife doesn’t want to move, so going nowhere.

Ironically, my extended family who are all Democrats and all from the LA area have all left or are planning to leave. So they have basically been displaced by the policies they support that have squeezed the middle class out.

And they will most likely continue voting Dem in the red/purple areas they moved to, to the same result.

Speaking of California. I heard part of Biden’s speech in the car yesterday. In it Biden referenced the domestic issues Putin is contending with. Amongst them he mentioned the fires in Siberia and how the tundra will never refreeze. Made the California fires sound like no big deal.

Wife is friends with a medical coder. This girl works endless overtime. She has developed a pinched nerve in her neck from being hunched over her computer every waking hour of her life billing people.

I finally got my booster yesterday at a CVS. Sore arm today is all. I pretty much flipped a coin. I don’t think it matters much with Omicron. I could have waited to see if the next strain is more serious but whatever. I’ve done far worse stuff to my body
