Interesting story going around work today. Apparently the head of all our operations in India has been pounding the table to get 3,000 lap tops into the hands of employees for better business continuity planning. Well last week our management council gave him the go ahead to spend 10m USD and to do so quickly.
Word is he’s called every major computer maker waving the $10M in front of them - and everyone is saying India is effectively “sold out” of laptops and will be for the foreseeable future: the realminteresting thing is the $10m wasn’t enough to get any attention as there are larger outfits that are in front of the line.

this is where the price in oil drop comes in: since China has such a hold on manufacturing and supply chain, essentially a wide range of products are held up, even if its one widget, because its made there and no where else, usually with some form of a petroleum product
From a video gaming perspective, supply chains are already taking a hit and causing ripple effects. The Turbo Grafx 16 Mini is delayed until further notice. The PS5 and new XBOX will be pushed back until 2021, and not drop during XMas season. This will effect fail retailers like GameStop (whose on the verge of bankruptcy due to mismanagement and the fact most consumers buy their games online now), but also Best Buys and such.
