Yup, we're totally wrecked.
I only commented as folks were discussing the situation here.
Here in Queensland it's been pretty much business as usual for the last couple of months, restaurants are open, bars and clubs are open, casino is open without Plexiglas sneeze shields. Everything is open, and
virtually nobody is wearing a mask. Went to the footy last night to watch the AFL and about the only thing is stadiums are only allowed about 50% capacity.
I just checked the government site, we have 11 active cases for the entire state of 5,000,000 and 0 in my local area of 600,000
Western Australia has at this moment 7 active cases.
Norther Territory has 3 actives cases.
South Australia has 10 active cases
Canberra zero point zero
Tasmania zero point zero
New South Whales 262 active cases and at the moment appears to be mostly under control but could turn quickly.
Victoria 6,706 actives cases and rising fast. They've lost control at least two weeks ago and I find it hard to argue that another lock-down in Victoria is a bad idea.
Time will tell, we might be totally plague ridden from coast to coast in a month... I'm slightly concerned this will happen. But I reckon we'll nip it in the bud... least I hope we do.
