Trump doesn't think the actual virus is a hoax.
He feels the Democrats blaming him for the market crash and the supposed mishandling of the situation is a hoax.
I do think the Democrats are politicizing this, and Trump is getting defensive, as he always does when he feels like the media and Dems are attacking him (whether justified or unjustified).
I don't think Trump has handled this particularly well so far, but at the same time, he isn't at fault for the problems we're seeing, including the market.

The good news is that if you travel now most airports in America look abandoned. This was LAX on Thursday.
Most airline flights have almost no passengers. All airlines may be completely bankrupt in about 6 months.
