What about the 2nd wave? Could that strain be different and crush healthy people?
I read somewhere that was how the 1917 -) spanish flu crushed everyone. Not sure if it was the 1st or 2nd wave that crushed healthy people but it for sure did.
If memory serves me correct I think the 1st wave took out the healthy 20-30 year olds then the 2nd wave just crushed everyone
The second wave in the US in 17/18 was because WW1 ended and the incoming service men re-seeded the population with influenza. This is why if the US has closed borders this go around for another year it will be much milder next wave.
