I can’t find anything definitive on this story. Are those confirmed cases? I see suspected cases in quarantine. I see some travelled to China but these 2800 weren’t like people who came straight from China into quarantine, correct?

It seems like they’re people who presented at a doctor or hospital and then went into quarantine. I’ve never been to India, but all you hear is about the filth and unsanitary conditions throughout the country. It would seem if there is indeed 2800 cases and these people who are sick were out mixing in society, that in a month the number there would blow right by China. I would guess they have a better medical system there given how many people go to India for medical tourism and how many Indian doctors we have here, but they don’t seem like a government who could just wall off a city with a few million people to the degree the Chinese can.

This is all uneducated conjecture, but damn, if they really have 2800 cases, that feels more troubling than China’s 10x that

    Yup, 21 fucking weeks.

In the beginning it was like a flu which I think I got from my son and my ex. There's had already gone away and mine took about a week until most of it subsided.

Since then, I have been off and on dealing with this mucous in the back of my throat and occasionally shit in my nose as well. The stuff in the back of my throat makes me want to gag at times. The stuff will linger for 2 or 3 days, then I think it's gone. Then in about a day or so, the shit shows back up again. Rinse and repeat. The doc gave me some antibiotics, and it did nothing.

If anyone else has recently dealt with something like this and it sounds familiar, I'd appreciate any insight you might have

Ok. That was one of the articles that popped up when I googled your number. I guess that those who were treated ultimately tested negative seemed optimistic to me that maybe the majority of those quarantined don’t, in fact, have it. I guess we’ll see. My gut feel was if it’s already that widespread in India, it was a new ballgame entirely.

Go back to your doctor or to another doctor. This reminds my of a wicked sinus infection I had in the late 90s that took three trips and three increasingly strong antibiotics to finally kick.

Overall it tooks months and sounds exactly like what you're dealing with. Amoxicillin didn't work and I believe it was finally erythromycin that did the trick.

It was a long time ago so I'm not 100% on the meds.

Agreed. A relative of mine once had a very persistent respiratory infection that took working through a few different (and increasingly expensive) antibiotics to finally clear up. She was sick for something like 2-3 months.

its interesting that no one is mentioning that the famous dr who died in china was 34 fucking years old.

The Wynn flunkies said they spoke with President Xi in their conference call this evening. Of course, they may have been lying about that too.

This sounds like exactly what I & 2 other friends of mine had in early 2011. It went on for 4 or 5 months each & a few different antibiotics. It would leave for a few days & you'd think it was cleared & it would keep coming back.

The worst part for me was the wheezing from deep in my chest that would make sleeping very difficult which prolonged it because I was weaker from lack of sleep. What finally cleared it up for all of us was an antibiotic & we were all diagnosed with asthma & got prescribed ventolin for it. That stopped the wheezing & we were able to get some sleep which helped immensely & it cleared up totally after about 10 days with the antibiotics.

I would like to reverse my earlier prediction. It will still peak on Feb 24, 2020. But the epidemic will likely be less prone to sticking around for more than a few more months worldwide. (It might be a stickler in the epicenter areas).

Especially since asymptomatic spread may not be real. This would be a godsend:

The massive work to get this thing licked will basically work. This is the most likely end. It will take a few months and poof, it'll be yesterdays news.

And don't believe what you hear: This corona virus ain't that special and WILL have a hard time moving into new hosts as the temps warm in China.

My appreciation goes out to those who have read this. Please don't panic, especially if you are not in the epicenter areas. Have a good evening.

it just killed a perfectly healthy 34 year old doctor who was considered about as high profile a patient as you can imagine.

It sucks. But because of the strong quarantine response, it will only kill a few perfectly healthy 30-something folks. It will slowly fade away so it shouldn't do many healthy-kills.

i cant find the post but an OSINT sat imagery lab says they detected a particular type of smoke generated by crematoriums thats hanging over wuhan like they are running furnaces 24/7.

that plus the first person doctor testimonials popping up tell a very different story than the one youre hoping for.
