Yeah, it’s hard to filter through the hypochondriacs. You’re a sharp guy, so I’m sure you can make a very good read on someone you know. I’ve had twenty people tell me they’re convinced they have it, but like 17 are soft and easily shook. A few though, I’m pretty sure have it.
Every anecdote of people who’ve had this sounds similar. It’s that fever, body aches, dry cough, and then shortness of breath belt-tightening around your chest feeling. If it gets to the belt-tightening sensation, you’re in a dangerous spot. This is a unique time. At any other point in a normal world you call your doctor and tell him you have shortness of breath, they’re telling you to get your ass to the ER. Now, they’re saying ride it out for a week to ten days. Your body either fights it off or you have to make it to hospital and it’s breathing treatments and then it’s ventilator time.
When I was deathly ill years ago, what I had caused bronchial spasms. I’d gasp for air. We’ve all had that sensation for a moment here or there, or those with asthma have had it until they grabbed their inhaler. Having it non-stop for days will scare your ass . Of all the shit that would come later for the next seven years, that shit was scarier than any surgery or procedure or even spot chemo they were putting into my intestinal tract. You can mentally tough your way through that shit if you’re not soft.

That belt tightening shit around your chest is one of the worst feelings imaginable. It’s not like most things where you can mentally overcome it if you’re strong. Your body just goes haywire. We are hardwired to freak out if we don’t have appropriate air.
It’s like a fish out of water feeling. Them telling you to ride it out means a lot of people drift from shortness of breath to passing out on a subway like tines video. It’s hard to judge when you’ve crossed that rubicon from shortness of breath to dropping. Having a pulse oximeter if you can even find one is probably good to have around. It can kind of tell you when the shit is miserable but in your head and when you truly aren’t getting enough oxygen.
I think we might have to postpone our elections. Dont know if that has ever happened before. These old fucks arent traveling the country shaking hands thats for sure. I dont know any incumbant President gets reelected though unless this gets wrapped up quickly.
Trump getting reelected was such a lock, but now it doesnt look like it. Have the odds changed?

The primaries may be delayed, but the containment efforts needed to slow down the spread of the coronavirus will most likely not need to continued by the general election. We’ll almost surely be on the tail end of the contamination curve long by then even if mitigation efforts sufficiently flatten it to prevent the healthcare system becoming temporarily overwhelmed.
Besides the soup stockpile, I have an oxygen concentrater and all the goodies to go with it for anyone close to me that may need it as this shit ramps up. I am also big on Vick’s Vaporub, a cool mist humidifier and encourage all to look up youtubes on lung postural drainage and percussion. Recommend anyone who has symptoms to drink at least 5 liters of liquid a day, slather up with the Vick’s on the chest, Tylenol, cough expectorants that include guaifenesin (mucinex).
Practice chest physiotherapy now and if needed provide to sick person at least 4 x a day.
If you are not already taking, get odorless garlic capsules and take 6 a day, spaced out every 4 hrs while awake.
Why so much fluids? Fluids flush shit out of your body, they will thin the pneumonia secretions so the chest physiotherapy will get it the fuck out of your lungs. To me many people are dying unnecessarily because back to basics proven methods to heal are largely being ignored.
When you don’t drink liquids, the pneumonia is thick hockers in your lungs, stuck. The virus continues to breed making it worse until you are suffocated.
Lots of liquids thins these hockers so coughing, deep breathing, chest physiotherapy get that shit out of your lungs so they can heal. Mucinex helps release secretions from the lungs as long as all the other things are being done.
In between chest physiotherapy patient should practice cough and deep breathe every hour. To do this, take 10 very deep breaths in and out, breathe in until you can’t get anymore air in and breathe out like you are blowing out 100 birthday candles. Follow this by 2 forceful coughs.

you could just cough on your hand and grab your licence "sorry i don't feel well" if they had a brain wouldn't go near it and insist you roll up your window. either way not going to be easy for them.
