I don't think this is accurate. Progressives do care about people. But they care about their money and their ideas more. And if there is a conflict between caring about people and caring about money/ideas, the latter is going to win out.

I don't think this is accurate. Progressives do care about people. But they care about their money and their ideas more. And if there is a conflict between caring about people and caring about money/ideas, the latter is going to win out.

Obviously Republican politicans aren't all saints, but I trust them WAY more when it comes to crime and punishment than I do Democrats, because there's not a woke ideology sitting in the way of justice.

Regarding COVID, both parties are fucking it up. You have the Democrats trying to exploit COVID in order to enact greater social change (and thus requires lots of lies and exaggerations about things to get it done), and you have the Republicans casting everything as a battle for freedom, rather than simply doing what's right. Then you also have the left's Cult of the Mask, which has been harmful in several ways.

My ideology on COVID lines up with neither party. Both have annoyed me in their handling of COVID. Republicans were a lot closer to correct, but they fucked up by letting the whole anti-vax thing take hold.
