He fired 3 shots in the place, two at the manager's legs, and one towards the wall which narrowly missed someone else. A female employee there was able to talk him into letting her leave.
The old psycho survived through pure luck, as a police bullet grazed his clothing but just missed him, before he was tackled to the floor seconds later.
The manager, who was shot because the tenant was upset about water damage in his unit, will survive.
He also had no criminal record, so it's likely he is senile and his mind wasn't working right. He even told police that he'd do it all over again, and was looking to "mess him up" (the manager), but not kill him.
