there may be a theme tonight. we'll see if I can stick with it.
When I was at UMass, I spent some fun times at Pearl St, Northampton. Bosstones, Ramones, Monster Magnet, Bob Mould, the goddamn Deftones, I saw a lot of really cool shows there, but one of the only ones I went into blind was a Morphine show my freshman year. People who's taste I trusted said "you GOTTA see Morphine," so we saw Morphine. One of the few shows that I have no clear outstanding single memory of, just the view from stage right, the joy of the event, and the feeling that there was no better place to be in the world that night.
I've told this story before it's worth repeating
Was in Van for the latest Malkmus tour (Dicks on Dicks , inside joke) and there was some
delay. An opening act didn't show up. So we're sitting there
and eventually a young women with an acoustic guitar is front and centre.
Didn't know her from Eve but she proceeded to knock it out of the park.
I've never seen such talent in person.
It was Neko Case. She makes musical instruments sound off key
If anything makes this site worth while it is the Tony Bagadonuts Songs You Like thread
Tony is a class act and he knows his music
And we all chipped in over the years
If you go back to the beginning of this thread you hear amazing music from everywhere
Music does not really age. It's your memories
I just realized that the Who are not well represented here which is strange considering the volume of great
music put out. anywho no pun intended
Brian May is unreal

This album is chalk full of great
The greatest Easter Sunday service I've ever been to, without question.
We saw the Crowes at Pearl St in Northampton a week or so before this, but goddamn, Easter Sunday in NYC was a fun time.
The concert in my head starts at 15 minutes in. Right place, right time, I was straight crying with a smile halfway thru this one.
The Orpheum in Boston is my fav crowes venue, but that's almost a volume deal. The Hammerstein was top top. Even Kate Hudson didn't miss this show.
