Last one Druff then I’m gonna have to charge you....

    Let’s talk about Corey Seager....

Mookie Betts prepares to play at Dodgers shortstop

It wouldn’t be the first time that Dave Roberts doing crazy from the bench and today the alarms have gone off after Mookie Betts was seen practicing in the shortstop of the dodgers.
One thing is certain: Los Angeles today does not have a short stop at the level of Mookie.

The guy who made the outfield “throw of the year” so far. Dave Roberts’ gears are turning. It’s not wrong.

You like how the Sawks kicked him back?

Will be funny when he eventually replaces Jansen and the Sawks feel dumb but once again.

... or Lester? The list is endless. Nobody is harder on Sawks than I..... and yet the Dodgers are remarkably a dumber big market team.

I was watching Graterol last night wondering why he isn’t closing now then I looked at his numbers. Not sparkling but you see the future with your eyes.

How ‘bout them bases loaded in 9th with Jansen. You like? Did it get to 3-2 w/ 2 out bases loaded? I think so.

Dodgers are still in the hunt. You’ll be fine.

Will you finally admit that the NL West isn't a slapnut division this year?

There are 3 legit good teams, in the Padres, Dodgers, and Rockies.

I already said that somewhere above recently. I think it might be the best race.

Giants show heart too. Yaz is something as the oldest rookie (I exaggerate). His grandfather and triple crown winner has a daughter who owns a horse farm near us. I know guys who are contractors who have worked on Yazstremski properties. Old Yaz gets involved and to a man they all say he is the nastiest bigoted old curmudgeon. I appreciate the irony when I see his grandson taking a knee. I’m sure old Carl Yazstremski has suffered several minor strokes watching that.

It’s still early but some rivalries are brewing and there are green shoots of life in that division.

Starting pitching kinda worries me though.

Offense is great, especially when Muncy heals. He should be on the DL. Hand is killing him.

Mookie Betts has swung at 101 pitches in the zone thus far this season and missed on just one.

He just smacked a leadoff HR after lol Ross Stripling gave up 2 runs in the top of the 1st.

At least the Dodgers seem like they put the big money behind the right guy.

If you like money and offense ....

We’ve been talking about Runlines this past week with Yankees and Dodgers. A chalky parlay a day too

I got Padres, Yankees & Dodgers +258. No RL today cause a bunch of middling pitchers.

I had a colonoscopy with barb wire a week or two ago in MLB but my confidence is back.

This isn’t the wagering thread but .... at no point in this game was there any value in taking Dodgers from behind. Down 2-0 a runline was still -120. You had to spot 3 runs with that bum Stripling pitching. Crazy. Favorites are running unreal in MLB. Brainless fun

Not sure if this was covered in another thread but Tatis Jr hits a grand slam on a 3-0 count.

Everyone up in arms oh he should take a pitch they were winning already, etc.

NFL already went to a flag league, is the MLB going there next?

Tatis or Mookie for MVP. Honestly too tough to call at the moment

I was preaching and praising on Maeda even last year. Dodgers screwed him out of a million when they put him in the pen. Not a peep from Kenta.

No-hitter thru 7 for the Twins

What the Dodgers wouldn’t give for a starter this year. Friedman will commit seppuku tonight at midnight EST

Graterol and Price are mere amusements

Well, I understand it. Someone has to replace Kenley Jansen soon when he goes from questionable to useless.

They did have Maeda at a reasonable price for 4 more years, though, and it was an incentive-heavy deal, so that also helped the club. When they signed him, the concern was his injury history, but he averaged about 150 IP per year with the club. He also pitched over 120 IP each of the 4 years. So while he wasn't injury-free, he was healthy most of the time each year. Pleasant surprise.

Guy was solid and clutch, and as you said, didn't even get pissed about the bullpen move. Loved him in the playoffs, and in fact he was underutilized. They'd drop him into tough spots in relief in the postseason, and he would just bear down and get outs.

So far the Dodgers are the best team in the regular season, but is that really a surprise?

We'll see if the offense can mask some of the pitching question marks when the postseason comes. If Bellinger and Muncy get going (they really need to put Muncy on the DL and let him heal), then the offense is really going to punish people.

I dunno. The regional schedule makes it hard to know. It’s impossible to compare Twins vs Oakland for instance. This is just an imperfect qualifying tournament.

The Dodgers have played like 3 teams over .500 so far. It’s the same old story. That’s why playoffs are a different season.

The eye test is, “yeah, they are powerful”. Fun to watch.

Yankees are using a little gamesmanship resting players. Lol Judge saying he’s 100% and the Yankees saying, “uh, no”. “Quiet son”

Nevertheless, Dodgers v Yankees collision has been brewing for a few years. It’s time

Speaking of personnel games.... Cleveland... good lord.
